First off, it’s worth mentioning that due to a sports accident long ago, EVERY pair of footwear I buy automatically needs $70 worth of orthotic “surgery” before I can even wear them. So obviously, with that added expense, I need to be sure all and every pair of new shoes will be durable and last at least several years. Besides that, they’ll need to be comfortable from the start—I can’t risk putting that extra money into a shoe that will never become comfortable or might cause blisters. Fortunately, Keen sandals are both durable and never have caused any distressing issues, so I can be confident that they will fit well and also last for many years of rugged use. Thesis style is always true to size and super comfy. (I adore them and no, this is not my first pair!) Besides that, I LOVE the color of this pair—they’re cheery enough to wear on a daily basis with casual slacks or skirts. (It feels silly to worry about getting them muddy should I sometimes decide to wear them while mowing the lawn or gardening since mud and muck always wash off easily with a quick spray with a garden hose.) I also wear them when kayaking, as they provide stable footing and won’t slip on mud or slimy rocks as you’re entering the boat in the water. Besides that, these sandals always dry out quickly so you’ll not have wet feet while waiting for hours for them to dry out. Simply put—I adore these sandals and will likely buy another pair sometime soon. (Yes, I’ve had another pair for about six or seven years that by now are fairly tattered, yet still wear them from time to time when doing really messy tasks. After three or so years I started popping them into the washing machine with jeans and heavier fabrics, making them look brand new without any evident wear or damage to the sandals or the other laundry. That’s a win-win if you have stinky feet. 🤣) So it’s a two thumbs up review for these fantastic sandals (or should that be “two big toes up” review? 8^) If you’re strategic about purchasing them off season, you also likely to find discounted pricing on their less popular colors or styles! ... show more

    • Won't fit over a high instep

Nice shoes. Well made, but they won't fit over my high instep and they don't have any adjustment for the heel or top of the foot. Yes, there is a strap to tighten once the shoe is on, but if you have a high instep and can't get the shoe on to begin with this is not the shoe for you. I went with another Keen shoe that opens at the top and allows for heel adjustments. Works much better for me. ... show more

I hope I love these sandals. I'd wear them all year round if it didn't snow in my area. So far they seem durable. Next summer will be the test for that since I will have them on every day and be actively outside for at least 8 hours every day. The last time I bought Keene's the stitching started to come out soon after wearing them, but fingers crossed that was just a fluke. I feel like the sole could be slightly more cushioned like the men's whispers in the olden days when I was having a hard time finding sandals in women's sizes and on a whim bought men's. Oh how I miss that cushioned sole. It was like walking on a cloud. These are more like walking on styrofoam...still comfortable, but not cloud comfortable. ... show more

So happy with these shoes! I attend a lot of outdoor concerts and festivals so wanted a shoe that can take all kinds of summer weather and stay comfortable. These are very comfortable with the arch support needed when standing a lot. Cannot wait for winter to pass … lol

These are so comfortable! I have a bunion and have a hard time finding good shoes. They were perfect for walking my dog in the summer. My only complaint is that rocks get stuck in them and I have to constantly stop and shake my feet around to try and get it out.

    • rubber toe bumper and soles are two different colors
Size: 7 Color: Chalk Violet/English Lavender
Since I have the Rose sandal in a size 7 and there's a lot of room in length between my toes (especially the ones other than my big toe) and the top edge of the shoe, I bought a 6.5 and a 7 of the violet/laven dar Whisper. The 6.5 felt okay in the beginning, but after wearing in the house for a while, it started to feel tight and the straps were indenting into the outer side of my foot below the baby toe. The baby toe also sometimes hits the strap when walking. The size 7 fits better, but the right big toe sometimes hits the rubber toe bumper, very annoying. The left baby toe also hits the strap. The most annoying thing is that the right side rubber toe bumper and sole is a different color than the left side! It is more of a mushroom color, while the left side is caramel as are the 6.5s. Returning due to the mismatched rubber color and the straps and toe bumper being in the wrong place for my feet! Too bad as standing on them feels real comfortable. Also, the size 7 did not arrive in a Keen box and there were no cardboard frames to keep the shape of the shoe. The box said that the original box was damaged in transit. I had to try 3 pairs of the Tye die/Vapor. They all seemed to be cut from a different mold/pattern. One was a 1/2 size larger than the 7 it was supposed to be. Some have a straighter cut verses a more curved shape of the outline of your toes. One sole was defective. It did not sit flat at the heel. These are much more cuter and prettier than the pictures. The grey uppers and sole are actually alot lighter. A regular grey, not a dark grey. Will keep one pair. ... show more
