I love Keen shoes. I needed a replacement for my 15 y/o+ die-hard Newport H2 style sandals, and I really loved the feminine look of these. First, I ordered the Brindle color and the right shoe had a bulge at the pinky toe, so I returned those. Then, I ordered the Gargoyle color, and that pair squeeked like nothing I've ever experienced... Supper annoying... so, I returned those. Afterwards, I decided to go into the REI store to see what they had, and saw they had this beautiful color called Fawn in the Newport H2 style sandal, but I left because I didnt want to buy the same shoe style I had before. Finally, I decided to come back online and saw that this sandal was made in Fawn, too. So, I decided to order one more time. Friends, let me tell you, I'm so thankful I went to all of the trouble. I LOVE these sandals. They are so comfortable and stylish, and feel like they will last just as long as my old die-hards. They are true to size. I wear a 7.5, ordered a 7.5 and they fit perfectly.

I bought my first pair of Keen sandals 7 years ago. Living in Arizona I wore them 12 months a year. And let me tell you, I wore the heck out of them. I wore them probably 3 to 4 days a week. The sandal held up great considering the constant wear. My feet never hurt wearing these sandals. The inside had a little cushy give. The sole was solid and did not give to bending. The traction is comparable to a truck tire. I have been searching for the same style Keen sandal for years so that I could buy more in different colors. I was thrilled when Keen brought back this style this year. Wasn't so thrilled about the ankle strap that was added. I am going to bring them to cobbler and see if they can remove the strap for me so that I can have a basic slide sandal. Even if they can't, I will still be grateful for finding this style again. The most comfortable closed toe sandal ever made! The pics I posted are of my 7yr old pair of shoes on the left and the new ones on the right. Note, the pic of the tread of the 7yr old pair still has some wear left to them despite the nonstop usage. I highly recommend Keen shoes. I can attest to the durability of this sandal.

I love these particular Keens! I have horrible bunions and these give perfectly. The leather softens enough with wear to not cause problems. Love the toe guard. Have had several compliments on them. Can go as semi-dressy to very casual! I will agree that the ankle strap construction can be a bit annoying as it doesn’t open all the way as a traditional sandal. You do have to slide foot in the ankle loop and pull up on the heel strap to fully insert your foot. Still, I don’t really have a problem with it unless my feet are damp/wet. Sturdy sole. Comfortable. I’m taking a 3 week trip to Morocco and these are going to be my go to sandals.

Over the years I have (as I'm guessing we all have) found shoes to be cheaply made, mis-sized, easily destructible and much more expensive than they should ever be. I developed a reaction to laces across the top of my foot (very painful even when tied loosely) and I knew I had to do something since now I cannot wear sneakers! I finally have begun ordering on line and RETURNING them until I got a pair that wasn't "just okay" or that I loved but "almost" fit, or only hurt when.....now, back they go. The logistics have yielded good (if not frustrating) results. I now enjoy Merrilsl in the winter. But what to do about a summer shoe that has the same support...in other words feels like a shoe! I had New Balance sandals (don't even know if they still make them) and wore them until the leather started peeling off the toe (neatly but...dead shoe). I ordered Merrill sandals but they were clunky and I don't "hike" (back and forth to the mailbox!). I'm not young enough to care about sexy but ugly isn't pleasing. Then I found KEEN Women's, Rose Sandal and my hunt was over! At first (because the bottom of my feet are sensitive) the insole "burned", but I had tried them on at 11 pm and, of course, that's when the padding in the foot is flattest. I immediately ordered Sockless Dr. Scholl's pads...and although that worked fine on the left foot it took away the tiniest spare space in the left shoe on the right foot. I could wear it, but the foot got slightly swollen. I took the pad out of the left shoe and lo and behold both shoes felt the same. I have now not taken them off for a week; they support my ankle, they grip the walking path without adhering to it, they have a decent arch and I feel like perhaps my refusal to get on the treadmill before was because I never had a pair of shoes that fit so well! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE KEENS. Fingers crossed they don't do anything to ruin the shoe!

Compared to the Keen Newport H2O, which I've almost lived in all summer for years, these fit similarly but have almost indiscernible arch support. The insole is much softer, so perhaps once the footbed conforms to my foot the arch support will emerge, but for now I will only wear these for briefer periods of time and will not wear them on a day where I am expecting on my feet a lot. I have learned the hard way that to avoid bouts of plantar fasciitis, adequate arch support is a must for me. Otherwise the Rose is attractive, features great construction andca comfortable fit. Even with my wide forefoot with lateral bunions (usually an issue with strappy sandals), these work for me. Love that they protect my toes, too. The ankle strap adds to their stability.

As soon as I opened the box, I immediately liked the look and tried them on. I did order a half size bigger just in case my feet swell and I am glad I did. I have been wearing my sandals regularly and they fit nice. I understand the earlier comments on not having a ankle strap adjustment but I did not seem to have any problem with getting my foot/heel in the shoe. The fit is good and I had plenty of room in the toe section as well as the length fit for my heel. One thing I did have to get used to was the closed rubber bumper that mostly covers only my large toes at a slight angle. This look was odd since I have other closed shoe sandals that cover all of my toes straight across. Since I have wearing the sandals I have started to like the look and it works fine.
