First, let me say up front that I liked this shoe and really wanted them to fit. I chose to order them based upon a blog stating they have a wide toe box. I read other reviews indicating they run small, so I ordered a 1/2 size up (9). Unfortunately, they felt ok around the big toe but crowded the smaller toes quite a bit—not comfortable for a long hike. I do have a marginally wider foot and I’m very partial to wide toe boxes. I did order another pair (9.5) but the fit was way too big at the heel. I ended up buying the Keen Steens in an 8.5 and they have been perfect. ... show more

These are my first Keen shoe purchse. These a a hybrid sneaker/hiking boot. Great arch support and roomy in the toes. Left shoe is perfect, right shoe is tight across the front foot. Hopefully will stretch with wear. These have been great on rough terrain. ...gravel and dirt. Good traction. Have not tested water proofing but expect it will be good. These were very comfortable shoes, except that I have a sore toe and the lace area covers that area and applies pressure when I walk. So for me, these shoes did not work and I had to return them. The return was easy.

The shoe is awesome looking and has the normal Keen toebox. I was looking for a shoe for work where I stand and walk up to 10 miles a day. I did not feel like they had enough cushion. I have several styles of Keen and have been wearing them for more than 12 years.
