I loved the simple styling and thick straps. I bought a couple flat versions, but they were so uncomfortable or the straps didn't work correctly. I decided to try these as Keen makes good shoes. I liked the idea of buying something that will last. I really believe they will. The straps fit well with no rubbing. I will agree with another comment that during the first wear I was concerned that the front strap would bother my toes, but that went away very quickly. I noticed that every time I pick up something heavy, the shoes sink a little to absorb the impact, which is so comfortable and stabilizing. The treads on the bottom are so much better than expected. So far these have been on gravel, concrete, peach picking (grass and dirt) and to the pool. They performed well everywhere and still look perfectly clean. I love that they can be easily cleaned as well. The only issue was on the heel part of the sole, there was a misprint leaving a little tab that I could feel when walking. I exchanged them and the second pair had the same issue. I had to use a blade to carefully remove it. Now they are perfectly perfect.

I have two pairs of Keen’s water sandals: the Whisper and Astoria West. Both are a Size 7. I ended up buying these in a 6.5, after measuring my own feet. I’m glad I went a 1/2 size down because they would have been too large had I bought my “water sandal” size. For reference, my first pair of Keen water sandals was a pair of Newports and they were a size 6.5. So my feet aren’t growing (I’m in my 40’s) but they were rubbing the back of my ankles.

Love love love these shoes. Give me a little extra height ( I’m short in stature). Comfort all day walking at St Augustine. The look of these shoes is complementary. Thinking about getting another pair in different color.

I wore these sandals on a trip to Italy and Greece-they were very good walking shoes. I wore them more than I did my good tennis shoes. Only downfall is I ordered white and it is a little hard to keep clean.

I love these sandals. I can’t tell you how many pairs I’ve tried and returned. I did need to go up a half size. Usually my feet hurt after a while unless I’m wearing tennis shoes. These are so comfortable-I can wear them anywhere! The elastic straps keep them solid. I just wish they made an all tan or all brown color.

I bought these for a recent trip to Europe. It was very hot weather so I wanted an alternative to sneakers with the same comfort and support. These were very comfortable. I walked and walked and walked and my feet never felt tired. I’m glad I wore them before the trip because my little toe did rub a bit at first.
