With slip-resistant grip, cushioned support, and quick-dry, recycled plastic webbing. Made from recycled PET plastic bottles, the Women’s Astoria West Sandal is built off KEEN's traditional wider footwear form. KEEN products are consciously created using a natural, pesticide-free probiotic-based technology called Eco Anti-Odor for breaking down odor in sweat, PFC-free water repellent (in applicable styles) and leather sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries. This is not a negative as much as a PSA, but this is the first pair I’ve purchased since they started using recycled materials in their uppers and it doesn’t have the same “give” as previous materials. At first I thought they fit a little weird but after wearing them on an 8 mile hike in supai i was very pleased! I never got one blister and they stayed out walking through rushing water and waterfalls. I climbed with them as well and they had great grip.

I like the feel of these. The sole was just fine, not damaged like others have mentioned. They fit well and seem up to the task, with soft cushiony soles. But I’m going to wear the crap out of them and ended up ordering the Keen Whisper ones I owned last time since the lower more rubberized sole is designed for water sports and has better stability on rocks. But they are $40+ more than these, so these are a good alternative if you are price conscious. Be prepared for Keens to hug your feet on top. ... show more

This is my second pair of Keen's. I'm replacing a four-year-old pair that I've worn for at least six months of the year, many days of the week. I generally wear an 8.5 or 9 -and in Keens, I always wear a 9. I bought the gray with the light pink drawstring cord. For those who may be wondering, I have a very narrow foot, and often have to return shoes because they are just too wide.
