These shoes are perfect for the crazy, fun loving toddler. They fit well and are easy to get on and off thanks to a single velcro strap at the top. The rest of the shoe's fit is done via a durable cord with cord lock. The fit is excellent. The functional design of the shoes is fantastic. If you know about the adult Keen, then you are aware of the great design. The shoes have protected toe boxes and are equally effective in and out of water. The shoe transitions from trail to water and back to trail without issue. The shoes have good support while also having good cushioning. They dry quickly and are always comfortable, evan after getting wet. I've worn mine all day at water parks, in and out of the water and my feet were comfortable all day. The kids shoes have some small adjustments to make them even better and safer for kids, one is the velcro strap I mentioned earlier. The other is that the heel is enclosed and protected, where the adult shoe has an open heel. This keeps sticks and rocks from fining your toddler's soft heels while they play. My toddler also wears his all day at the water park, and is running around the yard at full speed that afternoon. He has worn them at the park and the closed heel design keeps the multch shards from getting into the shoes. The box toe design has plenty of space for my toddler's feet to flex and work without being squeezed or pinched. As a parent, I've had my toddler get shoes soaking wet by jumping in puddles, then we have wet shoes and socks the rest of the day until we get home, but these Keen are perfect all day shoes, no matter how many puddles he jumps in, or whatever he climbs or experiences at the playground or out shopping with us. My 4 year old son has not had the best luck with shoes--especially water shoes! We have gone through so many target/wal-mart shoes that he said fit well, but he would end up with a blister somewhere or they'd end up falling off etc. I hate spending this much on a child's shoes when they outgrow them so fast. However, I would purchase these again in a heartbeat at new price! These fit him so well, with or without socks, they leave no blisters or marks and he loves them! We went hiking in Yosemite with them and he can run around in them on rainy muddy park days. He can wear them with socks for a little added warmth on cooler days. They look cute on him too! We also ordered Merrell brand but they dug into the top of his foot so we had to return. They are true to size and there is no digging into my sons feet anywhere! I have small , wide feet and require one shoe to have a one inch addition to the sole. Keens Big Kids size 4 are a perfect fit. Having a shoe built up is expensive, but I got a great deal on this shoe from Amazon. Love the subtle Smokey the Bear design on the shoes. These keen shoes are great for kids and extremely durable. Your child will wear it and hand it down and it will still be in great shape. They arrived in a timely manner and the price was perfect. I am always jealous that the kids shoes always are the best colors. I recently found out that a big kids size 7 is a woman’s shoe size 9. So I put the concept to the test. I’m thrilled to say it’s true. These Keens fit perfectly and the price was MUCH cheaper than the adult sizes. Who knew!!!!

Like the wide fit. I wound up putting orthotic type insoles in these for more support and while they’re not exactly the best looking shoes they’re pretty comfortable which for me is high praise

Overall I’m happy with my Keen shoes. It’s one of my favorite brands. I was a bit surprised on opening the box and seeing a brighter orange than the one in the photo. I do wish the shoes matched the photo.

I love Keen sandals. Your child will definitely outgrow these before they are ever worn out. I buy them for all my kids. (From preschool age to teens!) I have handed them down to neighbor kids after my kids outgrow them, and they last the life of that kid wearing them too. They are certainly made to last.
