Extremely comfortable, and the waterproofing is a nice touch. Love this boot, but here are my only critiques. Fit a bit wide, I have pretty normal width feet, and these are just a touch wide. Boots are a little on the heavier side but I attribute that to their solid construction - they are not going to randomly tear out on you. The laces are a bit slick/slippery - they like to come untied after about 40 minutes of work - So I end up double or triple knotting them to prevent that. When I first tried them on I thought wow these are clunky and boxy and I didn't think I'd like them. I put them on the next day and snugged the strings up a lot more than I normally do and went out for a couple mile walk. Then my impression changed to wow these are really solid and durable. I think the material for the uppers starts out pretty stiff but now they've pretty much molded around my foot and I love them. They fit just right in my normal size 10 and the toe box feels just perfect - a little wider than my other boots so my toes aren't scrunched! My husband has worn this boot for years so this is probably his 4th pair. I don’t think they are as well made as in the past but still seems to work better than other boots he has tried. His previous pair definitely didn’t hold up as well as they have in the past

I've owned several pair of Keen shoes, boots, and sandals and they're all very durable and comfortable, right out of the box. My only complaint previously was that the laces were short on the boots. Keen has fixed this issue and the boots are perfect! No break-in required at all for me. The fit is spot on too. I've had surgery on both feet and Keen is one of the few shoes I can wear comfortably all day long. I do add snow spikes in the winter as there's no shoe invented that won't slip on North Dakota ice! ... show more

I got size 9.5 in Black/Olive and it is beautiful. Very high quality. Good for manicured easy trail running or short walking. I am an Army guy and I hike a lot, and I know boots! This one recommended. It will take about 3-4 weeks to break it in BEFORE long trips or backpacking (in house, outside to mailbox or block, then outside trail 2-3 miles FIRST - break in gently so feet don't hurt). I call it a short trip, day use boot and waterproof. But can go longer and take abuse. They are tough and will last long term. Learn to lace them correctly and center that tongue. Try a 1/2 size larger for thick socks. PROS: Color and leather quality, laces easy, has a great sole and bottom (soft and sticky). Pretty! Affordable on Amazon $85 to $100 sales. Lightweight not heavy. Can wear anywhere. No toe jam. CONS: Warm, little sweaty so get wicking medium socks, stiff above the ankles (will rub above ankle on skin of outside leg and cause pain, and red abrasion if not broken in first), I feel almost every little 1/2 inch stone on front foot pad of sole as I walk, so get thicker inserts (it is too flexible and not enough padding) but has great cushion on heel). Good socks are a must. Some say damages breach the WP (small tears toward the bottom) - see YouTube. ... show more

    • Very comfortable and good for all kinds of terrain

I use these when I do my delivery job. I do a lot of walking, bit of running, jumping, whatever. These are as comfortable if not more comfortable than a lot of tennis shoes/sneakers/running shoes I've worn. They have plenty of support and do not rub my ankles raw, or at all for that matter. I wear longer socks with them for more comfort. They're breathable, flexible, and very comfortable. The first time I put them on and used them it was like there was no break-in period. It was already good to go. My only con is that on slick surfaces or wet slick surfaces, it has poor traction. I have to be careful in those moments. Overall though they're great and I'd buy more in the future ... show more

Bought these as an Anniversary gift for my husband and one of the shoelace loops was not connected. Since his last pair of boots had fallen apart and were in the trash, I had to repair the loop so he wouldn't have to wait to wear them.

Perfect fit all the way around! Tried on about 6 pairs of boots and always something a little off. These fit true to size. Very happy! Hopefully the bottoms don’t fall off like the ones I bought prior!!!! Are you reading this KEEN Company?????????
