What I like most about this book is the photos. They are awesome! It really gets me motivated to go out on my yak and start fishing! There is a lot of basic info like how to paddle, types of kayaks, equipment options and not a lot of specific info - for example, do not expect to find to the answer to what type of lure will catch a trout in California, you will not find that. Interesting reading, but limited almost entirely to sit-on-top kayaks. Although sit-on-tops allow more flexibility for fishing, it would be nice to know that most of the book is dedicated to them, and to have some information for those who might like to try fishing from, for instance, a sea kayak. It seems that every book spends a lot of time going over basic strokes etc. Still an interesting read. ... show more
