I love this Kate Spade New York Travel Book Pouch. I am an artist and sometimes meet up with friends to sketch. My sketchbook, small set of watercolors, pens and pencils easily fit into this Book Pouch. I can have it ready and grab it and go and linger in a coffee shop while chatting and sketching. Or it could be used for Bible Study class; or to make a run to the library; or to carry a tablet or journal. Sleek and lightweight, it will fit into totes and luggage. What I love: I love the extraordinary quality and craftsmanship of this book pouch. It is very well made from lightweight nylon; simply wipe clean. It has two easy to a access compartments, a main compartment which feels like it has light padding, as well as a front compartment. The gold tone zippers are large and roll smoothly without snagging. The zipper pulls have “kate spade new york” engraved on both sides of each zipper. The size; it is roomy enough to be adapted to so many uses without being too large. It will slip easily into totes. The interior of the main compartment is about 11 3/8” long and 8 3/4” wide and about 3/4” deep; large enough for tablets, books, sketchbooks, journals. The front compartment is about 8 3/4” long and 8 3/4” wide. It easily holds bookmarks, pencils, pens, art supplies, keys, phone, lipstick and other essentials. It does not have a handle but is lightweight and easy to carry. The appearance. This book pouch is chic and fashionable and useful. I love the polka dots and the "Mark Your Spot" title on the front. I have owned many book carriers and was so excited to see this Kate Spade one! Enchanted Dot polka dot item is chic. Gold-tone zippers enhance the overall appearance above what is available on the market. The material is sleek but tough and feels like it will protect against spills or friction, and can last longer than typical fabric ones. Front pocket fits my Kindle Paperwhite with ease. I plan to take this on a train journey, and it'll be a great home for pens, cords, earbuds, a passport, receipts…really very much multi-functional and not limited to carrying your current reads. This is close to the size of a sheet of paper, but that would not fit in here completely (the corners poke out). While this isn't designed primarily for that, the description does say "room for documents" and they might've made this just a tad bigger to allow sheets to be carried in here without On the thin side—best for carrying slim volumes; could be a downside depending on what you read. Regardless, that makes this easy to carry. "MARK YOUR SPOT" is in a slim font and looks faint. IMO unlike many Kate Spade items, this makes it look cheap to me, but that does not interfere with using the pouch. I really hope they will make book pouches in other prints. I will happily buy more!

I'm fond of both travel and Kate Spade's dot patterns, so this Kate Spade Travel Book Pouch is definitely something I'm on board with (pun intended). The randomly spaced and not perfectly round dots are playful and cheerful, and I like the classic black and white color scheme. The gold zippers look great too, and they operate smoothly. I did notice the zipper on the smaller pocket is a bit odd (see photo), and it is a little tricky to zip up all the way on the other end as well, but it seems like it will be secure enough for most items. The material on the outside is a little slick and will be easy to wipe clean. The larger pocket has just a touch of padding. This seems mostly durable, but one minor issue caught my attention. There is a small white mark on the bottom seam on both the front and back. I noticed it in other posted photos as well, so I think it's just part of the design. On closer inspection, it seems to be where the border around the pouch comes together. This didn't seem to bother anyone else enough to mention it, but since it isn't perfectly finished, I do wonder if it could fray over time. I also didn't like how the exposed white thread drew attention to the area, although a little black marker fixed that. Overall, I like it, and I actually think it's much more versatile than just a book pouch. It fits books, and also most magazines and kids' activity books, along with other items. I will be using it to hold some essentials when I go to the beach, or it could also be used for organizing items in a purse or travel bag. Note: Beware of slop reviewers who simply rewrite the product description in excruciatingly boring, generic detail whether the reviews are long or short. They're unlikely to have checked what they wrote, much less verified any of it. They are out in force on this particular listing. Also beware of slop photos or lots of unopened item photos, exaggerated humor, poems, and silly stories that have little or nothing to do with the product itself. Look for reviewers who include original observations, measurements, comparisons, photos that demonstrate something useful, or details that could only come from actually using the product.

Overall I liked this pouch, which I received in black with white polka dots. It is about the size of a sheet of paper, and is marketed as a book pouch. I'm not sure why it is a book pouch, as you could easily use it to store anything. This is great for tablets and kindles, books, but also fits regular sized magazines. There are 2 zippered compartments, one the full size of the pouch and one smaller. The product listing says the bigger pocket will hold items securely- it's a basic zip pocket and there isn't anything special about it. There is also no locking mechanism. The zippers have a KS logo, and there is a phrase on the front that says "Mark Your Spot." The look of this pouch is very on brand for KS, and will go with any accessories as the colors are neutral. The pouch feels somewhat high quality, the fabric is thick and the zippers are easy to open and close. The only small area where it looks unfinished is along the trim at the bottom. I would recommend this pouch to anyone who likes KS, and to anyone who owns or is interested in owning the other items in this collection. This would make a great gift as well. For the price, I think it is a decent value, but would look for a sale. If I had to nitpick, I wish that this had a rigid back or perhaps was waterproof, as that would protect books and paper items better.

I love all things Kate Spade, so I jumped at the chance to try the Kate Spade Travel Book Pouch. I'll admit I had no idea why I "needed" this, but it comes in her signature white polka dots on black, and I'm always in the market for a cute travel organizer (see also: my growing collection of tote bags). I've decided this one earns its keep because it holds my Kindle, a hardcover Harry Potter, and my passport (with the plane ticket peeking out) all at once. Two zippered compartments—one larger, one slightly shorter—keep things sorted rather than all mashed together. Both compartments are simple open pockets, no card slots or elastic loops inside, so the organization is really just the two-way split rather than dedicated slots for smaller items. The front pocket is stamped with "MARK YOUR SPOT" in white lettering, a nice bookish pun for something meant to hold books. The zipper pulls are gold-tone and stamped with the brand name, and the zippers glide smoothly. The nylon exterior feels like it could hold up to a little moisture and it definitely wipes clean nicely. There's no handle or wrist strap — it's a flat zip pouch, meant to slide into a bag or tote rather than be carried on its own. There's a very minimal amount of padding for your Kindle or tablet. If you're not sticking a tablet in it, it's a little larger than it probably needs to be. Still, I quite like this one and look forward to using it on my next trip in October!

I have been using kate spade hand bags for decades and have recently started getting into their other accessories like shoes and jewelry. When I saw the travel book pouch, it was instant love and I knew I had to have it! I have a kate spade hard bound notebook that goes with me to the office and this is the perfect size to keep it in. This is nice sized, and could fit a paperback or hard bound book of mid thickness. I don’t think I would try to fit a super thick book inside of it. It is made from a high quality nylon material with stitching that is well done. It has the main pocket but also a smaller front pocket that is great for keeping small accessories like pens and my wireless mouse inside of. The zippers are the classic kate spade cold and I love the thoughtfulness of the added zipper protectant that I was able to remove so my finger prints were the first ones on it. The front memo says “MARK YOUR SPOT” which is a cute reminder of what’s inside. The black nylon with the larger white polka dots all over is seriously adorable and this book has both modern and classic vibes all wrapped up in one. It is sophisticated, elegant and definitely a sweet nice to have that just makes life feel a little upgraded. It would make a fantastic gift. This is a classic kate spade in a well done, thoughtful, cute and creative product that I would absolutely recommend. This is a more affordable item that looks and feels luxurious!

So this Kate Spade Travel Book Pouch has actually been way more useful than I expected. It’s the Enchanted Dot pattern, so it has that classic black and white Kate Spade look, and the nylon material is lightweight and easy to wipe clean. It's made of very high-quality materials with nice stitching, wonderful fabrics, gorgeous zippers, and great durability. The size about 11" by 8.5" with approximately 3/4" depth at the base, so it fits paperbacks, journals, and even my tablet without feeling bulky. The front has that cute ‘Mark Your Spot’ quote, and there are two zipper pockets — the main one for your book or tablet, and a front pocket that’s perfect for small things like pens, chargers, or your boarding pass. The zippers are smooth, the stitching looks clean, and the whole pouch slides right into a tote or backpack. I’ve been using it for travel and everyday errands, and it keeps everything protected and organized.
