I won 2nd place in a costume contest with this costume, got tons of complements, it flattered my larger hourglass figure. And I'm 5'5"" and 170 pounds, size 12. I was worried about my large arms and bust so got an XL but probably could have worn an L and it would have fit a little more snugly. The material is black crushed velvet, stretchy and figure forming. The front is very low but you can cover up by making the ribbon crisscross more tightly or wear a tank underneath if you don't want it to be more revealing. The hem is a zig zag cut which was nice, it was to the floor and not dragging with a low heeled boot. The headpiece is rubber on a black band that velcros in the back and I liked it, but I bought the Snow White Ravenna crown to make it more evil and dramatic. I loved how the aqua blue ribbon brought out the blue and green shimmer in the irredescant pieces on the sleeves and collar, you have to see it in person. No, the collar would not stand up, so a friend safety pinned the collar's edge on each side and it stayed up the whole night. The belt is obviously intended to hook accross the front with a hook on each side. Black and blue eye makeup and a gold collar necklace worked well as accents. It was shipped in a TINY package, so I had very carefully ironed the collar with spray starch to flatten the bend marks and hung it for a couple days. So it had a few small quirks that were easily fixed and for the price and look I'm giving it a five. ... show more

The costume is well made and very comfortable. It's a velvet-like material with some stretch. I am 5'5", 120lb, 34C. I normally wear a misses 6 or juniors 7. I bought the small based on other reviews. The small is form fitting and snug in the rear. The top is also like the photo and shows some skin. Normally it would be great but this costume was for a family function so I will wear a tank top underneath it. I thought the ribbon and headpiece were fine but I could see where someone might want a more substantial crown. The elastic that attaches from the sleeve for your finger broke when I tried it on so beware if you have long arms. I could see it being very comfortable for wearing it all night long. Just FYI, I tried on a medium and the rear was too loose and I had blue jeans on underneath so I would stick with a small if you are around my size. ... show more

I bought this to dress as the Evil queen from snow white to go with our family's Disney villains theme. I bought an xl being that our weather is unpredictable and may need room to layer. I am 5ft 3in 170lb and it is floor length. Plenty of room to layer but flattering as it doesn't look too big. I don't have an issue with the collar it was a little crinkled from shipping I hung it over my closet door and it has stood up nicely. I only gave it 4 stars because there is a rip in The seam at about hip level. No problem a safety pin will work. Also the clip on one side of the belt was broken but I can make this work as well. The dress fits well and is very flattering (I am a size 4 and ordered a Small) - the material is also of good quality. It doesn't look cheap at all. It looks just like in the picture. I'm happy with it and can't wait to wear it. One little issue, though: I thought it was a bit cheesy that they printed the name and address of the company right smack in front of the tiara, it's very legible. I might leave it out as I don't want to go to a party like a walking advertisement. I might also leave the metal belt out - although it looks cool, it hits my knees when I walk. The outfit still looks pretty awesome without these extra accessories, so I'm still giving it a 5 star rating. Some complained the collar doesn't stay up - mine does and looks really cool. As soon as I saw it, this costume was a must have for me. A reviewer named Koko added The Queen Revenna Crown headpiece, which gave it. . .BAM!!!!! So I ordered that too. When my dress arrived I tried it on immediately and it fits me so much better than expected. Hugs the body in all the right places. . . . Cons: I had to tack down the right finger loop, which was hanging by a thread, and while at it reinforced the left one The foam collar did get mashed out of shape on one side, (due to shipping), but I've got time. If it doesn't smooth out, I am going to tack some boning to the underside to make it stand nicely. The 'chaining' on the Ravenna headpiece is silver toned, the belt on the dress is gold toned, so I dug in my craft box and found some metallic spray . . . voila matchy. But if you don't care to customize to your liking it's okay. These minor issues are all fixable so I'm not pressed. I'm about a week away from my event, but so excited to rock the "L" out of this costume. Thanks Koko for the idea!! ... show more

I like the costume but a few pointers. My dress has these lines going around the upper body. I wasnt expected that. Overall nice fit. I could have went with a Large but didnt want it to tight. I am comfortable with the XL. The collar I have no idea how I am going to get it to stand up by itself. The collar does flop down. The sleeves are nice. The finger piece is a tad bit too tight but I can deal with it. The crown....lol.. the jewel piece pop off soon as I put it on. I guess I will have to clue it down. I did purchase another crown from another review I saw on here. Nicely made costume its look enough would have wanted it longer so i can wear flats and my feet wont show. I am please. I gave three stars because of the jewel piece and the lines going around the body. ... show more
