I've bought many earrings from Kate spade and this is the first pair I've bought with such low quality (also the first time I've purchased via Amazon, coincidence?) they arrived with bent posts, like completely flat. I got a replacement pair and they were also bent but not quite so bad. The backs hardly stay on the posts and I lost one of the backs almost immediately. These earrings are exceptionally comfortable to wear. They are very lightweight and look stunning in my ears. I chose the ruby/gold earrings because I don't have many pieces in this color scheme. Although they feature man-made, lab-grown stones, the only person that will know this is me, as they have an upscale appearance. The earrings themselves are promoted as being made from sterling silver, but there is no explicit statement regarding their safety for people with sensitivities to jewelry – like me. Based on the material, I assume they will be fine, but I will repost an update if I start having any issues. Very pretty earring but these arrived with the backings totally bent sideways. Luckily I was able to bend them back into place, but was worried they would snap. The gems are a very pretty vibrant red and the gold coloring is a very pretty accent surrounding the rubies. So pretty and it comes with a nice little Kate spade bag along with a shine cloth. These earrings are so beautiful and elegant. They’re what I would call dainty, and not everyone likes the smaller studs. I find it a little difficult to take the backings of the earrings off and on, and I thought they were the problem. Trying other backings, I discovered that the posts are a bit thick. The issue is manageable - I just have to use care in wearing and removing the earrings. Otherwise, I love these earrings and am already wearing them a lot. ... show more

Absolutely lovely. These are high quality earrings. The pink sapphires are beautiful and the backs fit perfectly. The gold vermiel over sterling silver is pretty. I researched gold verniel and this appears to be a good quality. I wear them in my second piercings, where I normally wear diamond studs.
