The media could not be loaded. This is a great little scale that gets the job done. Water resistant and pretty accurate though the lip grabber is a real nuance so I just use the metal s hook.

All in all works great for not only weighing but measuring fish (especially for folks like me who have to fumble in their tacklebox for each (this one tool has both integrated within the tool itself). Pros: 1) Lightweight 2) Don't have to worry about locating your measuring tape after you weighed fish since the tape is integrated with the tool 3) The plastic lip-gripper is sturdy enough to handle big fish without it breaking 4) If you take the attachable lip-gripper off you can use it to weigh your baggage for the 50 lb limit if you don't want to lug around your floor scale 5) Recharging feature is great since if this came with the disposable battery I would probably just use it once then discard the whole thing Cons: 1) A bit bulky (may be harder to carry around for folks with small tackleboxes 2) If you have the lip gripper unattached then I imagine it takes a bit to time (not too much but a minute or two) to locate the piece and attach it to the scale before gripping the fish and weighing/measuring it. All in all I give this 4.5 stars.

Works ok and I believe it is accurate, however the buttons are clumsy and can be difficult. You need to hold the button down for a while to get it to come on... and sometimes it switches to kilograms instead of pounds for some unknown reason. Not what you want happening when you are managing a large flopping fish in a boat.

The KastKing "ToughTide Fish Scale with Lip Gripper" has some design changes compared to their previous model, the "WideView Floating Waterproof Digital Scale." The ToughTide is substantially smaller and more streamlined, which is a blessing when storage space is at a premium—especially for kayak anglers like me. Unlike fishing on a bass boat where storage is limited, kayak storage is even tighter. This scale fits perfectly in my storage box, which slides neatly under my seat. One of the standout features is the built-in rechargeable battery, which eliminates the need for disposable batteries (and reduces landfill waste). Plus, it charges via USB, making it incredibly convenient. The bright blue display is easy to read, whether it's bright daylight or nighttime. The lip lock system is another area where KastKing nailed it. I immediately tested if I could open and close the grips with one hand—an essential feature when you're holding a big fish in your other hand. It works flawlessly, allowing ambidextrous use without fumbling. Another thoughtful addition is the storage snap on the back of the scale, which locks the hook in place. This prevents the hook from snagging on other gear during storage, a small but appreciated detail. I ordered this scale because I liked that it was rechargeable. When I received it, the screen was broken. Things happen, no big deal. The replacement came in and that one also had a broken screen. I have been told by various anglers that kastking has low end products that have problems and defects. I guess they were right. It’s a shame. For the price point this can be a great product. You get what you pay for I suppose.

The KastKing Fish Scale with Lip Gripper has met all my expectations. Budget friendly, the build quality is good, with a sturdy hook. The optional lip grip makes weighing fish a breeze and is a lot better for the fish than inserting the hook through it's mouth or gill cover. The scale is accurate, and coupled with the built-in measuring tape ensures you can stay on the right side of regulations if you are taking fish for the table.
