This kit is a great deal since it included the knife+sheath, pliers, and headlamp at a low price. All of the items are good quality and worked well right out of the box. Knife: The knife is very sharp and has a good general purpose shape + flex to use as either a bait cutting knife or fillet knife. I'll probably use it as a bait knife since I already have the Kastking electric filet knife set. The sheath has a few cool features like the line cutter that lets you cut line without pulling the knife out of the sheath, and a built in sharpener to keep the blade razor sharp Pliers: The pliers are spring loaded with a locking mechanism to keep them closed while you are not using them. The cutting edge worked well on braid and mono line, and the multipurpose jaw can be used for split-rings, crimping on split-shot, or getting a good grip on a hook that got swallowed. Headlamp: I've never owned a headlamp with motion sensor before. It makes it easy to turn on and off by just waving your hand in front of the sensor, great for when your hands are wet or you just want to turn the light on quickly. The sensor seems to work well. The one thing I don't like is having to cycle through all the modes when using the power button. it would be better if it remembered the last mode you used (example if you were on red light, turn the light off, then turn it back on with a single click it should go back to red light instead of white, then dimmer white, then red, then flashing red, then UV). Having UV is really cool for night fishing with glow lures. Overall this kit provides an excellent value for the money and is an easy way to stock up your fishing back with some high quality tools.

I purchased this tool set as a gift for a co-angler who spends a lot of time in my boat and constantly borrows my gear. I already owned KastKing pliers, multiple knives and a ton of other gear so I knew to expect excellent quality. This set is perfect for my needs and the titanium-coated stainless steel pliers are a great heavy-duty upgrade from the machined aluminum pliers that I have in my own tool set.

Bought this kit mainly for the headlamp. The headlamp is pretty nice. It takes a type c charger. The different wear modes is nice. You can attach it to a ball cap without the strap. It has a motion sensor for when you wanna change the light setting without clicking the button. Its the headlamp I keep in my tackle sling. It works well and is a bright headlamp. I haven't tested the other kit items.

KastKing has created another quality product that doesn't break the bank. The fishing pliers are great, very versatile and light weight. The filet knife has a sharp blade and the handle is comfortable. The headlamp was easy to setup and I really like the ability to charge and not have to replace the batteries. I own several other KastKing items and will continue to add more to my tackle box because I am never disappointed by their durability and value.

A decent kit for someone that is just getting started into fishing. The knife comes with included sharpener on the sheath. It's very flexible, and super sharp. The knife is more than capable of working up fish. The fishing pliers are really good they have split ring tool on the tip, they have a hook sharpener, the cutters are extremely sharp and cut braid no problem. They have a lock to lock it closed and a lanyard for easy access on a fishing bag. The headlamp works fine as it should, but I have had to tighten the screws up twice on the hinge to keep it upright. A drop of lock tight would resolve this issue. I love that it has a built-in black light for running glow in the dark baits or looking at fluorescent-colored floats for nighttime pan fishing.
