I wish they were the clamp kind of barrette instead of the clip kind where the outer edge goes up. Almost like nail clippers. I ended up returning because the large size looked strange with the hairstyle I wanted it for. It stuck out too much. But it is so pretty and the stones are secure: if you want it for getting ready and just holding your hair back in a glam way, this is perfect for you. It just wasn’t for me. Also it was very heavy and I feel like I’d have a headache if I wore it for too long
