I take care of all of my things, but umbrellas don't seem to last long. I have been buying golf umbrellas lately, as they are a good size, fold up reasonably small, and seem better than the regular stuff. However, they just don't seem to last longer than 2 years of use. This umbrella seems to be very well made -- high quality fabric, 10 ribs instead of 8, and good stitching. It opens with the push of a button, and closes manually. It comes with a nice case to put it in. When considering the price, this is a great buy. We'll see how it holds up over time, but I am happy with this purchase. Works well, and well made.

This umbrella was tested in sunshine and rain, with or without wind. It's heavey. It's wide enough to cover from top to toe in normal to heavy rain. In any windy to stormy weather, the coverage area shrinks according to the speed of the wind and as it's normal at high wind (hurricane) speeds to be a problem with self-equilibrium when holding such a wide umbrella - better stay indoors, as the weatherman says. In windy to hurricane conditions, if outing is required, I recommend an overall. THE SNAP! Ah, this is not a bad snap but a wrong work of the one who was supposed to attach it to the fastening tape. The CAP is missing and the STUD falls off when the umbrella is in the customer’s possession. Needed Amazon to purchase 10 mm snaps. Try TLKKUE 50 Sets Leather Snap Fasteners Kit 10mm, for $8.00 because it comes with installation tools and that's not bad to have something like that at home. There are tons of things that can be snapped. When done, enjoy a beautiful umbrella!

I love the colors and the umbrella itself. It feels smaller than 62”. Also, on a rainy day the least thing I wanna do is fight with an umbrella as I close it and get all wet. The umbrella closes by itself but you still have to push the hand in to close it, and it is very hard to do so, specially with a wet umbrella. Otherwise, great product!

It's a big umbrella. Rather heavy. But it doesn't open as it is supposed to. Or close properly. I bought as a gift and will probably return it. The metal shaft is very flimsy. I feel like it may bend or break when I try to close it by hand. They make it sound good. Bought as a Christmas gift. I can't recommend it. Just hope the seller backs up their products. If I don't get a response. I will be back on to post it. It might open and close if it's lubricated. But I wanted something good and sturdy. The seller really should respond. Or they won't be selling a lot more. Not sure if it's even as large as they say. Not a happy customer.!!!!! Update, the button to open and close rarely works. So I tried some silicone it helped a little. But you shouldn't have to try to repair new items.I will be returning it. It might be ok if it worked properly. I gave it as a gift and they refused to use it due to difficulty opening and closing. I haven't heard from the seller. Guess they don't care. It's defective. I'm a mechanical engineer. I can say this will not last you long.

Here in Hawaii we had a convergence of two low fronts that brought a lot of water. They knew this was coming a week out so they were letting everybody know and they were preparing for the worst. As much as a foot of rain was expected in some parts of the state. Right about the time that forecast came out, a family member who recently passed was set for final visitation before cremation. There was no way we could avoid it, so we traveled to the Big Island of Hawaii where it was expected to get the worst of the rain. This umbrella arrived just in time. We landed in a torrential downpour. Just walking to the car rental location was fraught with waterfall like downpours. All I had was this umbrella and it saved me. The Good: it's big. I have had bigger but I've never had bigger that collapsed down to this size. It really wasn't tested for wind but it was able to get two of us to and from the car and to and from the hotel. If it was just me it would have been downright roomy. The bad: I wasn't able to test it for wind as some of the reviews talked about the wind. The biggest issue I have experience of thus far is that it is quite tight. The spring function of the handle and the umbrella itself makes it kind of hard to collapse the umbrella. Pressing a button can sometimes be difficult as well because it's very tight. When you get to your car and you have to collapse it in, it's not the easiest thing to do and I tended to get very wet. But that's kind of normal with most umbrellas but this felt worse than normal. Overall, I'm about to buy another two of these to give as gifts. These are fantastic for what they are and I have no reason to think they will be a problem other than what I've already mentioned.

I looked high and low for an affordable umbrella that had all of the features you need to stay dry and battle wind, this one takes the cake. It is expansive — check the specifications, yet compact, which is important when I am traveling, and for easy storage in the car as well as my backpack when I take it to work. Speaking of work, I traverse in New York City often and for whatever reason the narrow streets tend to be windy when it rains, so this vented umbrella is perfect for that. To close the umbrella it takes a bit more strength than the average umbrella, yet that is a small tradeoff versus those cheap umbrellas that provide far less protection from the rain and break every time.

I ordered this umbrella when my old one, which I had for many years finally failed. It is large (not as large as my old one, though). I like how compactly it folds back in; however, it is extremely tight & I couldn't get the arm to fold back into itself without pushing it in on top of a wooden stool. This was when I tested it in good weather. I haven't tried it when it rains yet, but if it won't fold down properly when I really need it to, then there's going to be a problem. Hence, the three stars. Only time will tell...
