I like the look of this 17 key kalimba. Has decent volume when striking the keys. I like the engraved notes on the keys. Comes with various accessories and tuning hammer. However, after comparing the tone quality of this one to other kalimbas, I prefer a different brand. Bought this product back in November. Since then I've learned about 10 full songs it's been very enjoyable to play. I've also use the website Kalimbatabs.net to learn songs, and play for others. I've appreciated this mini thumb piano as it's helped me with anxiety. The media could not be loaded. Please forgive the video - the way I set up the camera was a little hard to play at the same time 😅 This kalimba is absolutely beautiful, both aesthetically and by sound. It sounds almost like a music box and the tuning process is simple - it took me around thirty minutes to properly tune my kalimba, but when I was done I felt super accomplished and was fascinated with the sounds of each note. The book included comes with instructions on how to play two songs, but I personally would recommend looking up what you want to learn to play online. Avatar's Love is a pretty common kalimba song and is very simple and beginner friendly. This instrument is fantastic for people who may never have played an instrument before. It is easy to learn and to play, and enjoyable to practice. The instrument is quiet enough not to bother your neighbors if you live in an apartment and loud enough to play for a room of people at the same time. The blue color is very pretty and easy to clean. It does not get dirty easily. The keys do need to be cleaned; the wipe provided in the bag is pretty much good enough to do so. I would fully recommend this product. I have anxiety and ADHD and wanted to see if it would help, but the sounds the kalimba makes are extremely calming and satisfying. If you're debating on if you should get it, let this be your sign to go in! ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this gift for our 14 year old daughter. She is very musical and participates in school band. She is so impressed by this little instrument she brought it into school several times to use in class. My only disclaimer is you need to be comfortable with soft music sounds at all hours around the home. Fortunately we don’t mind hearing it sporadically throughout the day. The media could not be loaded. I bought quite many Kalimbas in search of best one. I like the blue color, the two holes in the back, but 1 key is dead. Which makes this into 16 key Kalimba. It also comes with a set with stickers for the keys. Refer to the video for the sound.
