I haven't had it long. This was a slight struggle to put on but it fits perfectly. It covers up the peeling & discoloration on my steering wheel. My wheel isn't too cold when I go to touch it. I wouldn't call it soft but it is textured so it feels like I have a good grip on the wheel. It won't slip in sweaty hands this summer and should protect the steering wheel from much more deterioration. Hopefully it will protect from the scorching summers too. ... show more

well constructed, no fraying at elastic or seams. Textured material is comfortable. With heavy use and continuous firm gripping, I believe this will need minor "re-centering" every few days. I have an old truck and the steering wheel material has started to flake off. I had bought a different, non-stretchy cover that did not fit well. I wanted something that stretched over the wheel more tightly, and saw this one. It has a heavily textured grip and fits the wheel snugly, which is exactly what I wanted.
