These skates are a blast, and super comfortable **Once They’re Broken In** I bought my exact size (9.5) based on the EU size to which it compared. Right out of the box, they were quite snug, to the point that my big toe was pressing up to the front of the boot. It was uncomfortable at first, but I did feel a lot of ankle support and cushion in the boot, so I figured some space would free up once they were broken in. Glad I didn’t return/exchange for a larger size because they’re now the perfect fit. I’ve used them everyday to run with the dog since I purchased them and have no complaints. My only concern is that the velcro straps will stop working (or separate from the fabric) due to daily use, which would require that I purchase a new pair of skates (I imagine) even if the skates were perfectly fine otherwise. It doesn’t look like there is any way to swap out the velcro for plastic ratchet buckle (or new velcro straps). Either way, highly recommend these skates for the experienced skater. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have a 13 pound Italian greyhound / Jack Russell mix that has no off button. She is constant energy, so I decided to give myself less resistance and provide her an ability to go full sprint. My wife got a cheap pair of $100 skates, and I got these because I didn’t want to have a terrible experience. This theory proved to be correct. I bought the perfect skates for this. They are secure on my ankles, I have no wiggle after riding for a few hours, and they are comfortable the entire duration. On top of this, my dog is finally tired, so the goal has largely been achieved. Would buy again, and will absolutely recommend K2 in the future. ... show more

Decent quality with the exception of the pull strap on the back ripping right off the second time I wore them. Not the biggest deal and I still like them a lot. Very comfy with insoles and the wheels have been durable on local asphalt trails.

My K2 Mach 90mm skates with ILQ9 bearings are the same speed as the K2 Trio 110mm ILQ9. I regularly skate a 5 mile loop and I average 14.5 MPH on the Mach 90mm and also the Trio 110mm ( the same speed). The 90mm skates are just as fast as the 110mm, but I have a LOT more control on the 90mm skates. The Mach 90's are 10 years old and now my big toe nail falls off, so I have to get about a size larger skate. The K2 Trio110mm seemed comfy when I tried them on, but the control is not so good, and my calves were bleeding after a 10 mile skate. The rubbing from the high cuff on the K2 Trio causes the bleeding (see picture). It helps to take the top strap off and also flex the cuff with your hand. The 110's have about the same wheel base as the 90's, but I have a LOT more control on the 90's vs the 110's. I don't feel 100% safe on the 110's. I've tried on some other K2 skates (90's and 100's) that have better boots, so I think it's the boot for the K2 110 Trio that's the problem. The larger wheels make it worse. It's too late to return the 110's, so they're going in the trash. The larger wheels have no speed advantage, so I'll probably get another set of 90mm skates with ILQ9 bearings. ... show more
