The sound is loud and clear, and there are different sound modes for variable. The build quality is mostly good, though one of the legs on mine is a bit wobbly after being screwed in all the way. Speaking of the screws, each leg needs to be screwed in. This motor instrument toy is perfect for my baby boy! It’s easy to assemble, which make it easy on me, the colors are beautiful and vibrant, which every kid loves and gets interested in. We got this for our toddler and she was very excited as soon as she saw the box. The packaging is great, very nicely made, and easily giftable for a birthday/Christmas/etc. Everything was very nicely wrapped and arrived safe and sound. Assembly is extremely easy. They give you an allan wrench, but we did not need it. Our toddler put the screws into the holes and helped us turn the legs to get them on, and everything went together even with just hand tightening. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the drums attach via magnets! This whole little set is very cleverly designed. It does not take up much space at all, and since it has the legs, you can store other things underneath. We put some of her other music toys there so that it's all together. The base has two slots on the back for the sticks to go into, which is great because then everything has a home when it's time to clean up, and there are no annoying strings to deal with. I would be aware that the legs can unscrew, so just keep that in mind with the particular child who you want to get this for. If they are the type to take everything apart, this might not be a good fit because the screws could be exposed. For MOST children it's not going to be an issue. If you are really worried about it, I would recommend putting some wood glue onto the screw threads before assembling it, and then that way everything is glued up with no chance of coming apart. The instruments are a xylophone, 2 drums that sound slightly different, a cymbal and then a wood sounder. If you need a compact fun little music set, this is great! ... show more

    • Drums move but everything is nice
Apparently the drunks move and they have a magnet 🧲 under bottom to to secure their stop in the set but they move easily. Also the long stick with tube on top of it (don’t know the name) kinda dangerous since doesn’t get secured with any screw, the tube move and the stick is dangerous for a baby because is a little pointy. Imagine if they fell in the stick?? No no ... show more

This little drum set is quite cute and comes with a lot of bang for your buck! I appreciated the very easy to follow instructions that were included and just how simple it was to put it together. My one caveat is that the individual drum faces as well as the top percussion instrument do not screw into place and so are very easy to take off. This led my little one to have more fun by taking it apart rather than make any music. Even with that I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a gift or music instrument for a young toddler just over one. ... show more

My box came busted open in the Amazon shipping box but luckily nothing was broken or damaged. I like that kids and play more than one instrument with it. Item is durable and was easy to assemble and keeps kids busy.
