    • Great chess/checkers set at a fantastic value! You won't be disappointed!
This is a great chess and checkers set at an affordable price! I purchased this for my daughter as a gift and it was perfect. She was able to learn to play chess on this set while also being able to play checkers when chess uses too much brain power. Lol. I love the storage under the board, great way to keep all the game pieces in one place and not lose anything. Quality is great. Overall, fantastic value for the money. ... show more

    • Beautiful
Lovely set, the drawer is so helpful. Sturdy, well made, and the sort of orange color on the outside is unique and fun. Very glad it came with checkers too, it seems like that's less common especially at this price point. My only complaint is that it seemed they may have been in a hurry applying the felt circles to the bottom of the pieces, making them peel and then those pieces tilt. Overall it's a great deal and good size at like 12in, I think 15 would've been too big for our space. PS- I'm being prompted to comment on magnet strength- this set is not magnetic. ... show more

    • Worth it for the price!
This was well worth the $30, as it's clearly more expensive to get a board of quality. Board feels like press board, and the inserts for the chess pieces are so tight, I had to use a key to scrape the pieces out, risking damage. When all was said and done, one of the pawns couldn't sit. I removed the felt pad, sanded the piece down, and glued the felt back on. I'm going to take the foam piece holder out, as it was so tight, I fear the pieces would snap. None of the checkers fit in their designated slot anyway, and I heard them rattling around prior to opening. 5 stars because you get what you paid for, and you won't see this review unless I do. Real review? 3 Stars. ... show more

    • Good value
Good value but the pieces are fairly light and the wood case is pretty weak and light.

    • Chess
It was thoughtfully chosen for a 10 year old kid who loves chess. I wanted something in wood and had a draw to put the pieces. When he got it he was so happy, showed the family, and we chose a place where he’d keep it safe, as his room is so full of stuff. Very happy with it …
