The media could not be loaded. Assembly: This scooter can be used within minutes. When I remove this scooter from the box, I only have to place the handlebars into the post and attached with the included screws and hex L shaped wrench. Charging: The charging adapter is an unique voltage and current so I placed a label and wrote Joyor so I would not misplace or forget that this large black box with cords belongs to this scooter. The charging box does have a Red/Green light to indicate charging status. When finished be sure to push that rubber cap back over the 5.5mm plug hole on the bottom of the scooter in the event the scooter splashes through a small puddle. Operation: Powering On the scooter is a long press and a short press switches between the Drive modes from None, White S, and Red S. Each drive mode has different speed limits and battery consumption rates. These drive modes can be changed with the smartphone app that I will explain in more detail. A double press of the power button activates the LED lighting on the scooter. The battery level, speed, drive mode, and Bluetooth icon ( when app is paired ) can be seen on the small screen above the power button centered in the middle of the handlebars. My weight is 205 pounds at a height of 5 feet 7 inches and I can easily maneuver and steer this scooter with no issues. I have been reaching max scooter speed of 15 mph within a few seconds. SmartPhone app: I am seriously considering mounting one of the motorcycle type cell phone holders ( so my phone does not bounce out and shatter ) to use the app with the scooter. The app is easy to locate in the app store for Apple and I did not have to scan a QR code in the manual to find it. Once downloaded I just turn on my phone bluetooth and launch the app. The app will then display "Joyor Scooter" when the scooter is powered on and the white bluetooth icon will appear on the scooter screen. Once the app and scooter are paired, I can run a diagnostics that checks the various components of the scooter or use as an enhanced dashboard. The app will display odometer, hours running, battery level, and which drive mode ( using the letter D and then # instead of None, white, red S icons ). I am able to change the drive mode by tapping on the gear shift icon from the app. We have been enjoying this scooter around the neighborhood and this will even fit our small coupe trunk when using the post release level located above the front wheel. ... show more

I'm 40 miles into using the scooter. I primarily commute to and from work on it. But I've noticed that there are a lot of details to look out for. The initial charge will take literally the whole day. I got the scooter at 10 am and plugged it in less than 20 minutes later. By 4pm it still wasn't fully charged. It took the better part of the day to charge even after getting home. That being said, this particular scooter did not have a limiter connected, so I was vaguely surprised to see that 18 mph is kind of the top speed,but my experience has been at 17 mph is normally what you'll get in a normal town. Speaking of normal town details, it is important to note that the c Steering mast works itself loose over time and normal driving conditions. So you have to undo the red band where the light hooks up and work the bolt back into place. The rear shocks do a lot to absorb normal road conditions but the tires could have stood to have been a little bigger to handle rougher roads. Plus a front suspension would help as well. A note about charging: this thing will pull about 265 watts when charging. So it's best to keep the battery as close to full as you can. I tried running this off a battery bank rated at 2 kilowatt hours and it essentially drained them and still not getting to full. I say all this simply because if you do some calculations,the charger itself is strangely inefficient for the scooter. Work could have been done to clean that up. An aftermarket charger with decent specs would probably help. Also the charger outputs 42 volts. Which is higher than the batteries rating at 36 volts. So make sure to mark it well. That all being said,it works and fills my purposes. So I have no immediate complaints. I haven't had to use their customer service, so I cannot comment on that.
