I bought this primarily to cultivate my indoor worm bin because I didn't want to use metal tools for fear the worms may be hurt. These are just the right size and plenty durable without any sharp edges. I can rake, dig and turn over to help prevent excess moisture accumulating leading to happier and healthier worms! An added bonus is the tray is also multi purpose in that it not only provides storage for the tools, but I can also use it as a sort of nursery for harvesting the castings , waiting for their little eggs to hatch (about 3 weeks). The holes at the bottom of the tray (covering 1/2 of the tray) are just the right size for the little babies to migrate down into the food placed in a separate tray below. The knee pad also functions as a cover. The included gloves fit me fine as a medium size hand and are thick enough and pliable. All the tools and the tray with handle seem sturdy enough to use outdoors if a decent composite set is what you need. Plus they clean right up. A very good value at $20 for the kit which came double boxed from Amazon 1 day after ordering.

The tools seem good, very similar to one I've bought in the past for the kids to play with in the sandbox and those have held up really well, so I have high expectations for these to do likewise. I'm excited to try out the carrying tray. The drainage holes is a cool idea to be able to rinse off the tools, or pick carrots into the basket and rinse them off etc. The gloves are fine, nothing standout but a nice addition to the set. They will be too large for young helpers but the tools are pretty safe for them. I can always use another kneeling pad, and I like that this is sized to also work as a lid/nest right in the tool tray. I'm pleased with the thought and design that went into this set.

I didn't realize that the packaging actually holds everything, and the kneeler pad serves as the lid. I love this compact and clever design. It makes it easy to store, easy to carry, and it would be a great gift for someone with limited storage space. The tools themselves are good quality, too.

Some of my youngsters seem amused by my home gardening. Let's introduce them to some basics using this gardening tool set byJoyhalo. Advantages: A fairly useful assortment of gardening tools: 1 hand rake, 1 narrow trowel, 1 soil scoop, and one garden hoe. Includes a 16" x 9" x 4" carrying basket with vents on 1/2 of the bottom, a snug fitting foam lid/ comfortable, kneeling pad (1.5" thick), and a pair of L gloves. My youngsters were thrilled as I showed them how to use each gardening tool, storage/harvest basket, and kneeling pad. Well molded plastic (fiberglass and polypropylene composite) and functional design garden tools with any excessively sharp edges or points. Slight shortcomings: Universal sized (L) gloves doesn't fit all. Fortunately I had some smaller sized gardening gloves in reserve for my young gardeners. Gardening tools are equally usable by adults but the long term durability is unknown vs. metal gardening tools. Overall: A functional, light/medium duty gardening tool set the whole family can use.
