After reading other reviews, I decided to order a 1/2 size larger and glad I did. There are Velcro straps at 3 comfortable locations to get the exact fit you want. I have them adjusted for a snug fit but can still slip them on and off without loosening any straps. The light stitching on the solid black strapping gives these a sharp look. The cushioned brown insole is very comfortable. The sole is strong yet still has some "give" for comfortable walking. Definitely recommend Jousen's Beach Sandal.

Comfortable, fits, & straps are easy. I have a little problem with the back strap, it seems better after I wore it for a week or so. Kept coming loose at first.

It looks like a few customers have had problems with these breaking so durability is TBD. If mine break prematurely, I’ll update this review. First impression is great. They look good, have soft straps that should break-in easily. The top of the base is nicely molded to support a normal arch and front so once adjusted, they feel good to walk in immediately. The tread isn’t too aggressive but still has some grip. It looks like it won’t be capturing a lot of mud etc. because there are ample gaps in the pattern. Nice balance! See photos. Excellent value for money as my British friends would say.

New model is over-engineered.. has "raised imprint" on inner sole that is misaligned and very painful! 1. I have purchased 3 or these sandals over the last few years, and was very happy with these. I use two pairs concurrently - brown for outdoor, and black for indoor. 2. Last month, I purchased one more, and this new model has an imprint on inner sole (apparently to keep your foot in place while using this sandal). In reality, this is absolutely a disaster! On some days, my feet align with the imprints and on some days they dont. This is especially problematic if i wear socks or ankle braces etc. And when there is no alignment, these raised imprints cause miserable pain! If I wear these all day, the pain just compounds and I am not able to walk by the end of the day! 3. Too bad the return window closed on me. I tried shaving off these raised imprints with a razer, but that has not helped either. These go into the garbage now,,,, and i guess i have to buy my next pair of sandals from DSW or local retail store where I can try before I buy
