Had to condition the heck out of the leather and change the laces, but once I did, they came out pretty good. Let's see how the soles wear. Hopefully they'll be durable. UPDATE: Walked for hours in these and the leather was super comfortable. Had memory foam soles in them so they felt like sneakers. Then after a month, the sole peeled away from the heel. Was traveling abroad so sealed it shut with super glue. Now the sole in the heel has worn through and I will retire them soon. Got a year out of them but only a few months of heavy use. ... show more

Purchased these boots a few days before Thanksgiving last year. I love the way they look and love the way they feel. However, within a week of receiving them and after only wearing them on 3 occasions, the upper brass speed hook has snapped off. Now, I can't quite keep the boots laced up. For $140, I was expecting more than this. Fast forward to one year later, the right boot has completely fallen apart. The heel has separated from the upper leather and the tread of the heal has popped open to reveal a hollow heel. It is hard to imagine a more poorly made boot. Even though I have owned them for a year, I only wear them in Autumn and winter with jeans. All told, I have probably worn them about 50 times. They "look" nice and they feel good. But, they WILL fall apart. Totally disappointed. ... show more

I almost ALWAYS were a size 10.5. I took a chance having read some other reviews and mistakenly bought these in an 11. They were just slightly too big. I reordered them - this time in a 10.5 and they’re a perfect fit. I suggest you buy ‘the right fit size’. They’re comfortable. They look great. They have a nice tread. Wow. These are a great set of leather boots. I wanted a more “organic, leather lace up boot” and these definitely fit the bill. Nothing to criticize here. The sole is not that stiff so you won’t get that classic boot sound when you’re walking around but I like that the sole is silent. I haven’t gotten these wet yet, but I would like to protect them a bit before I get them wet (usually adding some protection changes the leather’s color). I ordered my running shoe size and they fit perfectly (12 US). If you have a specific question just ask me. I am very pleased with these and I would definitely recommend. I bought these on sale here at amazon so for the reduced price I definitely feel these boots are well worth the money. ... show more

    • Nice fitting boots, but NOT for motorcyle riding
These boots are stylish and comfortable, but I was disappointed using them as motorcycle boots. I had my first motorcycle training last weekend, and these were my first motorcycle boots. There were multiple reasons why I would NOT recommend these for motorcyle riding: 1. They boots are narrow, pointed, and slick, especially toward the toes. Made it challenging to lift the clutch on the motorcycle - there was almost no grip. 2. The heels are fairly high, which made it difficult to position and move. The heel would 1) catch the footrest and 2) force your foot to dip down at too great of an angle when the heel was on the footrest. 3. The tread is rather deep. This would give good traction for walking, but the tread did not slide over the serrations on the footrest, so movement was not smooth. Even rotating my foot on the footrest was not smooth. 4. They were also a little fancy looking for the motorcycle class. Felt poseur-y. The boots are fine for walking around if you like the style. But definitely should not be considered motorcycle boots. Also, they don't seem rugged enough for hiking, but I haven't tried that. Honestly, I'd prefer to have my money back to put toward a real pair of motorcycle boots, but I've already worn them at the training. ... show more
