To me, comforters are like quilts and spreads that enhance the look of a bed rather than function as a blanket. That way the comforter stays cleaner and looks better longer. This comforter machine-washed gently and dried well, with few remaining wrinkles. The comforter is soft and has body without being overly thick and heavy. The stitching is fine. The diamond pattern stitching is attractive and works well to hold the fill in place. Some comforters have added strips of stitching here and there for that purpose, which ruins the look of the comforter. This one does it right. The comforter is blue-gray on one side and lighter on the other. My photos make it look grayer than it actually is. The one thing that puzzles me is how this can be a king. The online photo shows it extending to the floor, but it really doesn’t. On our king bed it goes only a short way over the sides. My photos show the king comforter on a queen bed instead. This works since the comforter extends down to the bed skirt. Of course, mattresses differ in size, so to avoid disappointment, measuring before selecting is a good idea.
