This is a very soft robe. Nice bright colors. I wear an XL-XXL and it fits great. When I decided to keep it I threw it it the washer. It came out still very soft and kept its shape. I spent last winter with my thermostat set at 45° F in Michigan where it is literally freezing cold. This saved me about $400 on my heating bills but left my house at 50°, which is great for a brisk walk but distinctly uncomfortable for your abode. I bought this robe so I could go from shower to basement bedroom without freezing myself, and it actually works great for that. It is soft and plush and very comfortable and so its role expanded to lounging as well. The one thing is that I am rather large, by which I mean fat, and it could be a little bigger. But I wouldn't hesitate to buy it next time, to give it as a gift, or to recommend it to you. ... show more

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my son in law. He liked it so I didn't return it. My daughter and I were surprised with how thin it was. It isn't something I would have bought if I had seen it in a department store. Unless things have drastically changed, you could do better for the money.
