Used these on a Tillotson 212 engine but had to do a fair bit of honing to the inside diameter of the shim to get it to fit on the shaft of the engine. They would start to go on the shaft facing one way and not go one at all facing the other way which indicates the hole is slightly tapered (and so the narrower side isn't big enough to fit.) Maybe that's intentional to allow for slight tolerance differences between different makes and models of engines? Don't know but it seems "sloppy" to me. They also seem a bit thicker than as advertised...
