The set of brushes came in a nice container. the tips of the brushes were nice but not as sturdy as they could have been, the smaller brushes had protectors to cover the bristles. The big ones didn't. The brushes were an attractive color pattern. they worked well for applying eye shadow, concealer, and blush. I felt the brushes were good but the quality of the bristles could have been better for the cost. I however would still recommend the set.

These dual ended makeup brushes by Jessup are really nice quality. I got the largest collection of brushes and you get everything you need to apply a full face of makeup. The vegan bristles are super soft on my skin. The bristles are very compact and dense for smooth blending. I've been using these brushes for a few weeks and the big variety does an excellent job of applying makeup from foundation to eyeshadow. There has been some shedding. The hardest part is storing these without hurting the bristles. I had them in their own makeup bag but it deformed one of the large brush heads. I can't put them in an upright holder like my other brushes. I finally found a travel makeup bag that rolls up and ties. I've been using that and it's been working out great. I'm really happy with this set of brushes. My makeup comes out great!

* Overall Impression: -This is a good value for a set of nice, synthetic bristle, dual ended eye brushes. -Note that they do not come with any brush storage such as a brush roll, bag or brush cup, but do come in small plastic tubes you could use for storage during travel. -Note that there are several variations in the listing, I’m reviewing the eye brush set that has no face brushes included, just eye brushes. * Pros-what I liked and what worked well: -Good value for the style, quality and quantity of brushes in the set. -Good quality brushes. -Very soft, dense bristles that are well shaped and the proper density and size for the use. -Synthetic, cruelty free, vegan bristles. -Dual ended brushes, each end of each brush has a brush on the end. -5 brushes included total. -10 different brush ends (2 ends on each brush end on 5 brushes). -Full size brush handles and bristles, not smaller travel sized brushes. -Nicely finished birch brush handles. -Sturdy aluminum metal brush ferrules. -Brushes in the eye set for eye-shadow application, blending and eyeliner or brow product application. (No face brushes in this set.) -Brushes are numbered for the style and use (but not named on the brush). -Small, clear plastic tubes with end caps are included to store the brushes during travel. (However, I wouldn’t want to really do this myself, as putting the brushes back in them, you tend to splay the bristles as the tubes are small.) -Minimal unpleasant odor to the brushes. They have a normal brush odor for new brushes, but it’s mild. It goes away when they are aired out. (But if you store them in the brush tubes, the odor is likely to come back, as it seems strong in the brush tubes.) If you air them out, wash them and don’t store them in the brush tubes, it shouldn't be an issue. -Booklet included as a brush guide. * Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well: -No brush roll, cup or long term storage is included, you’ll need to provide your own. The brush tubes included are good for getting them to you safely, but not the best long term or travel solution. You can use the small plastic tubes they come in for storage or travel, but it’s not going to be the easiest to get the brushed in and out of without splaying the bristles as you try to put them in the tube. You’ll be better off in a brush roll for travel for ease of use and safety of the brushes. -The brushes do have the brand text printed on the handles. -The brushes have a brush number printed on the handles, but not the brush type or use. * Tips & Thoughts: -If you’re planning on storing your brushes in an upright brush holder or cup, you may be better off getting a set that’s not dual ended, but single ended with a standard handle. Even with care, the downward (toward the base of the cup or holder) facing end of the brush will have some compression and splaying of the bristles if stored that way. I never store double ended brushes in a brush holder or cup due to this. -I’d suggest storing the brushes in a brush roll (laid flat) or flat in a tray or in a drawer vs cup or brush holder. That way you protect both ends of the brushes vs in a cup or brush holder. Ideally, I’d use a flat storage tray even over a brush roll, as you can get some compression of the brush bristles on one end even with a brush roll. -Note that no brush roll, cup or holder is included, you’ll need to provide your own. -I think this set works particularly well in a brush roll for travel or touch-ups on the go, due to having dual ends. For my everyday set, I tend to prefer single ended brushes I can store in brush cups. Also, while it is a good set overall, due to the size of the storage tubes they come in, some of the brushes aren’t as large as those in standard set, very close, but if you like larger blending brushes, you may want a standard every day set, yet find this one good for touch ups or travel. -Note that this set only has eye shadow brushes, no face brushes. -You may want to save, print or refer to the listing pictures as they show the brush uses and styles by the brush numbers.
