I am a senior citizen with previous skating experience. I have not been on skates in years and have never owned my own pair of skates. These skates run bigger than another brand that I bought in the same size. I wear a size 9.5 shoe and ordered a size 10. Perfect fit! There is enough room in the toe area that I can wear a heavy pair of socks. They come with a skate bag--a plus. Another brand had thick padding on the interior. The fit is true to size and wide-foot friendly. I love the light up wheels, but the stopper does not adjust at all. It just comes off and doesn’t go up and down like other brands. The position it’s in isn’t right for me so I have to do an L stop. If you’re okay with that then this is a great beginner skate for a good price. I absolutely love these skates. There pretty comfortable and are adorable. The lights add an amazing touch and it comes with tools to adjust and tighten or loosen the wheels. Though I admire these skates, there a bit faulty. The wheels tend to get stuck and stop at time when skating. I adjusted the wheels and this still tends to occur. Be careful that you don’t fall if it stops because it’s happened to me 😅. After I adjusted it, it just slows down whenever it stops so I don’t tend to fall anymore. So I’m in my 30s and haven’t skated since I was 8 or so. My son started skating so I wanted something basic to tag along with. We skate outdoors on a paved path at the park. These have worked pretty good and are comfortable with the right fit. The wheels did a good job absorbing shock on a rough outdoor surface. However I’ve been skating in them about 3-4 months total and the wheels just shredded apart this week. A little reading showed that wheels on average should last a year. Anyways, I’m happy I went ahead, even if I do have to find better wheels. It’s the best thing I’ve done for myself as an adult. I take my dog and go extra by myself now so she can run and I can go fast. :) wheeee! Have fun! ... show more
