I really love these adorable truly ballet-style flats! They do run a little small, I am very squarely a size 7 shoe everywhere I go, but I had to return my size 7 in these and get the 7.5. The half-size up worked perfectly for me. I love these flats because they're really cute and they can be worn with a casual or dressy outfit. I wore these for my college graduation ceremonies and they were perfect! They are comfortable to wear all day, but I think they start feeling like they pinch your toes after a few hours, nothing unbearable, though. I don't like that they show a little bit of "toe-cleavage" but they're so beautiful otherwise it isn't worth deducting a star. A great feature that I didn't even think of that you get with this style is that the flats will hold on your feet even if they are dangling. Other flats would fall off your heels, but since these have the straps around the ankles, they stay securely on. The ankle straps are comfortable. They seem to be made of great quality material and at $20 they're a fantastic price for nice Jessica Simpson ballet flats. I originally saw a pair of Jessica Simpson flats just like this but with a square pointe toe at Dillards for $80! They haven't dropped in price in 2 years so I'm happy that I found these on Amazon. I was never crazy about her as a celebrity, but I continue to be a huge fan of the Jessica Simpson brand, especially the shoes. I fully intend to wear these until they're falling off, then order another pair. Fit: Perfect. I have normal-width feet that generally fit into a 9 or 9.5 in most shoes. I went with the 9.5 here, and it fits like a dream. Style: Couldn't be better. I purchased the taupe, which has maybe just slightly more grey than displayed, but it's still a warm and beautiful, year-round color. I especially like that the body of the shoe is a matte suede while the straps are a shiny satin. It's a nice texture variation and an extra nod to the design of a real ballet shoe. Pros: - insanely comfortable - those smooth satiny straps wrap securely around the ankle without choking or chafing - versatile - can't wait to wear these with basically everything in my wardrobe, to the office, out to dinner, sightseeing on vacation, everywhere - reasonably priced - well made and a total bargain for $39.99 in my opinion Cons: - literally my only complaint is that even the lowest low-profile socks are a no-go (the sides of the shoe are just too shallow) Yes, you can see "toe cleavage." Exposure of toe cleavage is not always faux pas, and in fact many upscale designers favor it for its subtle sexuality. I've owned multiple pairs of these flats because they're comfortable, versatile, and I get compliments on them all the time. I literally wore the soles out on my last pair, so buying them again was an easy decision. That said, this newest version feels a bit different than the older style. The fit is noticeably tighter and the material feels stiffer right out of the box. I'm hoping they'll soften up with wear like my previous pair did. If you have wider feet, I'd definitely recommend going up a half size for a more comfortable fit. Overall, they're still a great-looking shoe and one of my favorite work flats—I just wish they had kept the softer, roomier feel of the original version. ... show more

Ditto 100% what Amazon customer, April 4, 2015 said practically word for word. Chloe started my obsession, Jessica Simpson saved me and my wallet. These shoes are fabulous and I have worn them to death. Before I completely kill these ones dead, I came back and ordered 3 more black pair, another black pair as a gift for a friend of mine who admired mine, and one natural pair, and one gunmetal pair - and 7 of these shoes were STILL less expensive than one pair of Cloe flats!!! JESSICA, you ROCK! I have always loved Jessica's shoe and have several different varieties from flats to boots to stilettos. They ALL prove to be comfortable, fit right, enduring, and gorgeous. But, as the other reviewer mentioned, these have the nice square toes so similar to "pointe shoes" (which is a big deal for us retired dancers) which makes them irresistible to us. I could never figure out why they were called "ballet" flats when they looked NOTHING like ballet anything. Then I saw Chloe's and was, like, YES!!! Then I saw the price and was, like, oh, crap, no, no, no. I held out in the hope that they would go on sale but they never did. Then I happened upon Jessica's and literally jumped for joy. I have a very high arch, so I put my custom made arch supports in them and I feel like I'm walking in the clouds. I can walk all day and night and nary a shin splint in sight. I really like these shoes, but have to give them a 3 rating because they hit at a spot on the side of foot where it caused a blister and got so bad that the blister popped as it continued rubbing untill i could go home. Even if they didn't rub against the side of my foot, they aren't comfortable for long term wear. i also acknowledge the rubbing iss due to the shape of my foot, as i dont see many people having this problem, but i also have to point out that my other flats dont do this, so it was a real bummer. On the plus side, these shoes have a very classic, sleek design and while I think the other Jessica Simpson style with the toebox is cute, I'm not a fan of the squared toe look. As most of the posters wrote, I agree this shoe is about a half size to one size small. If you like your shoes to have some extra wiggle room for your toes, then I'd recommend getting one size bigger since the straps will keep your foot in place. You can try it at Macy's prior to ordering online. There is a bit of toe cleavage, but I don't mind that.ut works better for the shape of my foot. Buyer beware, these shoes are a narrow fit, so if you have wide feet, it will not look flattering at all.Lastly, there is about an extra quarter inch hidden wedge, so this flat has a heel height of about 3/4" . I really loved these shoes, they are super cute and comfortable. I even ordered a second pair in a different color. But I’ve only worn them a few times and the insole ripped. I love these shoes! I ordered my usual size and it is a tiny bit tight on top of my big toe and at the side of my pinky toe, but I think that will break in after a few wearings. Otherwise this shoe is so comfortable! There is some nice padding on the inner sole, and the outer sole is a thicker rubber than many flats have which also helps. The leather is pliable and hugs my foot, even at the top of the heel where shoes like this will often dig in. The elastic criss-cross straps are very comfortable, look so cute, and even give my foot a little extra support. My husband loves them and says it looks like someone took stripper heels and made them into a comfortable shoe. I think they look classier than that, but I figured I’d toss in his opinion too. These are awesome. This is my fourth pair of these in different colors. I wear them all the time and get many compliments. They’re very comfortable. You can either wear them with a fancy dress or a pair of jeans.
