This was my first shipment, so we shall see how the next few go. One package was Van Smoky, it had good flavor but was tough to chew. The other package was from Essiccata, it was tender and easy to chew, it initially had good flavor but the I was quickly overwhelmed by saltiness.

I found this to be mediocre at best. I continued this membership for three months, hoping that my initial medium to poor products would improve. In my first monthly two packets, one was ok and the other was poor quality broken up bits of jerky. The second monthly pack contained another one that was ok and the second pack was really not to my taste (tasted gross IMHO). The third pack contained a pack of jerky that was no better than anything I would get at a store or grocery chain, but the selling point was that it "supported the troops". I'm all for supporting the troops, but when I've signed up for a premium jerky subscription, I expect it to be premium in quality and taste, not marketing value. All in all, I didn't feel that they really were delivering a premium product. ... show more

I looked at the contents of Auschnitt's Jerky and other than the flavors like the Teriyaka which contains sugar, Even the Regular Jerky has Brown Sugar in it, or ingredients with sugar. This is another Company that promotes "Quality" when it is still Garbage. The only Ingredients that should be in Regular Jerky should be Soy Sauce or Salt. And the Peppered Jerky should only have Soy Sauce or Salt and Pepper. All the other Garbage is NOT needed. I deem this Product Unhealthy. ... show more

I originally purchased this subscription for my husband as a gift but it has become a gift for both of us. We both love jerky and it's fun to get the new flavors each month. We try them together and both rate our faves. We have done six months so far and have not had any that we didn't like at all. Of course, some you like more than others but it's fun to try new jerky. I've been subscribed for three or four months now, and it's always a nice surprise at the beginning of the month. I'm really shocked at how many people are complaining about the price, given that it's only $18. If you're content to just eat black pepper or teriyaki flavored beef jerky, you can go get some at the gas station. By paying a little bit more, you get unique flavors and you're helping support small businesses. Only once have I felt like one of the products was lacking a little bit in flavor, but it was still about on par with the regular stuff you can buy anywhere. It's all been beef so far, but I did get one that was pastrami so I'm hoping to see if maybe there's a little more variety to the meats with some future packages. ... show more

This was gifted to me by my girlfriend, im a fan of all thinks dehydrated. I make my own jerky regularly so she thought this would be a neat gift. The portions are very small... 2oz per bag for the 4 bag a month plan so far. 32 dollars a month for 8oz of jerky is just atrocious. So far I've enjoyed the flavor of 1 bag out of the 12 so far recieved. One bag was very moldy, the jerky was very very wet, although this company isn't producing the jerky, some of the "small batch" vendors they have partnered with are severely lacking in quality control. I have reached out both via email and the review card sent with each package that has a scanned barcode and have not received a reply, not even a confirmation reply, so that is my experience with customer service. Honestly if I could cancel and get her a refund I would, she prepaid a year and we still have 9 months left so hopefully they catch the quality issues but so far with what they have sent I think the point is to partner up with the cheapest vendors possible to maximize profits, which is well obviously the purpose but your not going to be introduced to the best jerky brands through jerky snob. With the price they are charging you'd expect to get some of the best brands that exhist but I'm not seeing it at all. ... show more

Sent this as a gift, and have only recieved one month so far. The recipient liked the jerkys he got, but noted the packages are on the small side. I only plan on keeping this subscription for a few months because it it a bit costly for what you get, but I wanted him to find some flavors he really liked and could shop for on his own later.
