Enter this Jergens Natural Glow +Firming lotion. I grabbed it because I wanted something lazy-girl simple. Like… slap it on after a shower and go live my life simple. And honestly? That’s exactly what this is. The first night I used it, I treated it like regular lotion. No ceremony. Just rubbed it in while watching YouTube and went to bed. No weird sticky feeling, no “don’t sit on anything white for 6 hours” panic. It dries like a normal moisturizer, which already puts it ahead of a lot of self tanners I’ve tried. By day two or three, I started noticing that “wait… did I go outside?” glow. Nothing dramatic. No fake tan line energy. Just a soft, believable warmth to my skin like I’d been on a weekend walk instead of glued to my desk chair. It builds slowly, which I actually prefer. You’re not waking up shocked at a new shade of yourself. It’s more like your skin quietly levels up overnight. The lotion itself feels nice too. Not greasy, not heavy. Just a solid everyday moisturizer. My legs especially felt smoother and less dry, which is a win even without the tan. Now about the “firming/cellulite” claims. I’m realistic. This tanning lotion is surprisingly good quality for less money. I have fair skin and had almost no issues with streaking or discoloration. The only problem area was on my ankle bone, but should have exfoliated that a bit first. I applied a small amount of my regular lotion before applying this, and it worked great. I purchased this Jergens Natural Glow + Firming lotion to add a little color to my skin while keeping it moisturized. As a daily lotion, it works well and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. The gradual color develops naturally and doesn't look overly orange on my fair-to-medium skin tone. While I was happy with the moisturizing benefits and subtle glow, I didn’t notice much in terms of skin-tightening or any visible “firming” effect. The lotion performed well as a moisturizer and self-tanner, but that specific benefit wasn’t noticeable for me. This tanning lotion is amazing. It is a pretty color and you don’t have to scrub your skin prior to applying. It only took 4 days to give my skin a very pretty color. It works better than any other tanning product I have used - and I have tried many much more expensive ones.

I strongly disagree with other reviewers who say this product smells “good” or that it does not have the “tanning smell”. I unequivocally has the tanning smell. It takes about 20 minutes for the chemicals to interact with your skin but once they do, DEFinite tanning smell. Very noticeable. And the tanning effect of this lotion is very minimal. So you’re left with that strong very evident self-tanner “tell” smell on your skin- only with very little tan benefit. I actually can’t even detect any change in color after two applications. Supposedly it “builds” but who can stomach that smell day after day to just take the edge off of the paleness? The only positive is that it is not tinted, so you don’t end up getting brown residue on your clothing and furniture and bedding. But I really detest the smell of tanner. This absolutely has it.
