I originally bought these tights to fit my daughter for Halloween, and bought according to the size chart (my 11 year old is barely a size 10). When she could barely even get them on, I exchanged them for the next size up, which should have conceivably fit a 14 year old. They barely fit well enough for her to wear them for Halloween but the crotch was half way to he knees and she spent a lot of her time pulling the waist back up.
