    • Uncomfortable, Ugly, and Dangerous
This has to be one of the worst, if not the worst, products that I have purchased on Amazon. My Jeep's steering wheel started to have the coating wear off, so I searched for a temporary (or long term) cover, depending on how it would look and feel. This seemed to be worth giving a try based on all of the positive reviews, but I now wonder where they came from. First off, I live in northern California. Put it on during a warm day, and it was easy to get on. It is thick and only wraps around a little over 180 degrees (ie, from the photo of the front of the product, the back is open). Then the fun started. I noticed that it started twisting towards the back of the steering wheel after a week or so. I took it off and reinstalled it. It started to do the same again, after about a week. Now it does it continually, twisting like a pretzel or a worm on a hot sidewalk. For instance, the top will be bent in along with the bottom, but the sides will be rolling toward the back of the steering wheel. This made it very uncomfortable to hold and really quite ugly as it is not nice like in the picture. Then recently came the dangerous part, which is why I would not recommend this for anyone. Luckily, I was in a parking lot with very few cars. I was headed to meet someone for lunch (close to noon, with sun directly above) on a warm day, although I had the a/c running as I can't really take the heat. I went to turn and....boing, like a rubber band it popped off in my hands. All of a sudden I had two fistfuls of the cover in my hands, which were now no longer on the steering wheel. As it was a parking lot and I was going slow, I hit the brakes and tossed the cover to the side. I simply can't imagine if that would have happened while driving on a mountain road around a bend. I would have potentially been over a cliff somewhere. This product at its worst is highly dangerous. If it can soften up and come off like that and free your hands from the steering wheel, it has no business being in a car. This is a warning to those thinking of purchasing it. Maybe it will work fine in the winter, but I am not going to risk that. ... show more

It looks great. It was so hard to install. Watched 3 different installation videos and tried all the recommendations. Avoid using a screwdriverโ€ฆ.it ripped!

    • Apply in higher temps. If applied in cold temps, it is harder to stretch it to apply.
I have a Jeep Wrangler. They have a 15.5 in steering wheel. Even though on the package it states 14in to 15in, after warming up the cover with my heater, and working it back and forth, it fit. No slack. Does not shift. Looks nice.

Fit and looks great on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Putting it on was very difficult! I would highly recommend letting it sit in the sun for a while (I did 2 hours, one hour each side) after that you might still struggle but it should fit.
