My teenager wears glasses and contacts. He lost his glasses at the gym, and was very upset about having to continuously wear his contacts until his new glasses would arrive. We looked at his prescription on his contacts box, and did a little research to convert that prescription to a glasses prescription. Which led us to these glasses. We were definitely hesitant but they’re perfect!!! They look awesome on him, and he can see well! Love these!!! I bought the black ones from this brand multiple times before and they kept breaking! (Lasting about a month and a half) But these are much sturdier! I have kept them up for 5 months so far. I wish they sold -1.5 in stores, but this accessibility and price point is unbeatable.

I am very fair so the black look of these was a dealbreaker for me. Note you can easily see they are brown when sitting on a white surface (as in the photos) or with light behind it. But the darkest (densest color) part of the frames is the bit right around the lens, and that is what everyone will see. These frames appear dark, even black, when worn. Also unexpected - not a dealbreaker - was the fact that these frames are HUGE. To me, 'oversized' means not like regular glasses - and the current fashion for regular glasses is to be very low in height and diminutive just as reading glasses would be. But that's not the case with these. If you're old enough, think of Gina Lollobrigida or Sophia Loren sunglasses back in the 60s and 70s. Very nice in sunglasses. Not so much in regular distance-vision glasses you wear all the time (imho). Anyway, they are very lightweight and it is very easy to see with them, and best of all no moving nosepads so you can push them up into your hair when doing close work without them getting caught. That part's good. But I have returned these and am looking primarily for a lighter-color poly frame that is kinder to my skin and hair tones without being a firm color commitment (e.g., not light blue or multicolor, but maybe a softer brown or even a distinguished navy blue).
