Does what it needs to do. Holds up backdrops and blankets well (even with my 90 pound dog laying on the blanket it's holding up). My husband was mad I got these because he said whatever "man tool" clamps he already has in the garage would do the same thing. But these weren't expensive and they don't have garage gunk on them, so he can suck it :P ... show more

    • Too Small & Not Returnable?!
These were shown as Recommended to go with my LimoStudio Heavy Duty 10x12’ stand, but they are too small to wrap around the crossbar. Worse, Amazon says they are not returnable. WTF, Amazon?!

    • Dangerous and Embarrassing!
Used these to clamp a blanket for a newborn shoot and 2 of them broke and flew off in pieces. Thankfully no one was injured, most importantly the newborn. The plastic cracked. What a close call! I'm so nervous to use clamps again and will be searching for something of way better quality. Do not take the chance. ... show more

Of the six clamps that I purchased, 4 broke immediately on trying to use them and I agree with the person who posted that these could be a danger when they break they fly apart. Wear eye protection! So...66% failed. Basically a waste of money. I guess the hint should have been the store's name.

    • They got stolen before I could them
Usually when someone breaks into your house or car - they steal things of high value. Like your electronics or your classic Laser disc collection, but when burglars hit my house, they took these. Yes they took other things but these were not in plain sight. I'm not sure why but they felt they were valuable enough to steal, yet skip over an entire toolbox right there completely stuffed with manly things. Maybe it was because these grips were colorful or light weight. Maybe the burglar was an infant child and couldn't haul much out of the house alone. Whatever the reason, I could not actually use them myself to really tell how good they were. But I am curious enough now to order them again just to find out why they were so coveted. ... show more

    • VERY STURDY and Ignore the user error reviews
These work very well and ARE in fact sturdy. People, some of these negative reviews I personally feel like they are scams. I ordered these before and use they daily and changing backdrops on them, hanging them everywhere! NONE of these have broken off in the way they people are showing. 9-10 they were clamping them on bricks and trying to hold things 10x it’s weight so what do you expect? Someone showed the broken item split and broke at BOTH joints? … Obviously user error because nothing breaks in half evenly to the point is the manufacturer’s fault. Also these are $8.00 for a set of six people, get out of it! If one breaks, you are literally going to hold $8.00 over that? You know they are cheap price. Stop expecting Godox pricing to work in Broncolor quality, use it right the first time, there won’t be problems and generally clamps are already low price. Even the metal ones you can buy at Home Depot for $1.00 people, choose your battles, quit being cheap and blaming the cheap price for it being cheap quality. I literally just ordered a second set of these bad boys because they work so well and the spring in it is VERY strong and I use it to hold backgrounds up. Once they lock, they are locked. Work fine served its purpose...i used for the striped back drop and it was nothing but a piece of fabric, but with the clamps i was able to tighten the fabric so it created a more fitted look.

These little clamps are quite a bargain--which is a rare thing to say when purchasing photo/video equipment. Honestly, it's an industry that lives to squeeze every cent out of dreamers who want professional quality, but don't want to have to sell a kidney to get it. Enter these little clamps. You might think that I'm giving faint praise here, but these are quite useful for hanging photographic backdrops, holding together gels, reflectors, etc. Trust me--you'll find a lot of uses for them. Also, those little soft pads at the end of the pincers are great at preventing damage and equalizing pressure. Given their price, they're quite a bargain. ... show more
