This review is for a set of 2 tan-colored Jacquotha Waffle Bath Towels. When I first opened the package and examined the weave of these towels closely with a strong (10x) magnifier, I was skeptical that they would be worth a darn after being vigorously rubbed on my body half a dozen times, with a couple of trips through the washer and dryer in between on the warm (permanent press) setting. Well, they held up very well. It turns out this cunning waffle weave makes for a very lightweight towel (when dry), while the square-shaped cone-like structure confers durability. I get the sense that a mathematical genius had to have come up with this clever design. There were, however, a couple of interesting, unexpected details I took note of: - While the towel is very lightweight compared to its size when dry, when it's wet, it feels heavier than you would expect. This is, of course, just an illusion. I doubt that any more water adheres to your body after a shower (and thus gets sopped up by your towel), whether you use a standard cotton towel or this high-tech waffle-weave towel. This one might dry you faster and more efficiently (and more pleasantly), but the amount of water it collects is essentially the same. - This towel measures 63 inches in length. That is more than five feet long! I have never used such a long towel before and had to struggle a bit to keep the end of it from touching the floor. (I'm around 5'8".) Even my husband, who tested the other one (and also loves it), had a bit of a learning curve with it, despite his 6'1" height. - This third point hasn't been tested by me, but I want to mention it because the seller suggests that this might be a good towel to use at the beach. I emphatically disagree! I have spent many hundreds of fine summer days at sunny California beaches, and that dang sand gets in everything! A towel with a weave like this in that sandy environment may never get fully divested of all of its grit. The weave is too open and complex for the beach environment. But it would be wonderful poolside! The 2 towels I received are well-made, with no noticeable flaws in the stitching. The hems are single-stitched, and a care & information tag is sewn into one edge. The tan dye is uniform in color throughout both towels. I haven't noticed any color loss, streaking, or fading from using and washing these. Likewise, I haven't noticed any damage to the fabric or weave. They seemed to take about the same amount of time to dry out in my bathroom as my regular-weave cotton bath towels. These generously sized Jacquotha Waffle Bath Towels are of great quality and, at this price point, represent a good value for your money.

I love the experience of using these towels - they are super soft, absorbent and they dry well. It feels almost like being wrapped in a cozy blanket with the waffle weave. They're also really aesthetically pleasing. I got these to go with a new shower curtain and wanted to add some earthy texture to the bathroom, and these towels are perfect for that. A few caveats: They take AWHILE to dry compared to terrycloth towels. I wrapped my wet hair in it (wrung out obviously) and the towel had a huge wet spot the rest of the day, which was kinda gross. But they dry much quicker on cold days when my radiators are blasting them dry lol. Another thing, these are much LONGER than your average bath towel. Be sure to measure. However, being 100% cotton, they do shrink a few inches after washing and drying (most noticeably in width). Finally, they don't have a loop for hook drying and cannot be hung up this way. If you do what I did and try hanging it on a hook anyway, it will stretch out and deform the fabric a bit, the way some shirts do on a hanger. (Mine bounced back after a week, but don't try it!)

I was looking for a soft towel that was quick to dry. This towel does seem to dry quickly, but it is not soft. the waffle pattern does not feel nice on your skin, it feels rough. I have washed it a few times, so maybe it will get softer over time. it is a nice large size.

A good value for a pair of large, well-made waffle bath towels that dry quickly and look great. We got these as a set of everyday bath towels, and after using them, we’ve been very happy with them. Right out of the package, they look great with a nice deep green color, and the waffle texture gives them a more premium look compared to standard bath towels. They feel lightweight but still like good-quality cotton. The size is one of the first things we noticed; these are very large towels. My wife is fairly tall, and the towel almost completely covers her, which is a big plus. We’ve been using them daily, and they are very absorbent while still drying out faster than our traditional bath towels thanks to the waffle design. Pros: - Functional: Very absorbent while still drying quickly between uses - The large size provides excellent coverage for adults - Durable cotton material that feels well made - Easy-to-use and lightweight compared to thicker standard bath towels - Quality waffle texture allows better airflow and faster drying - Attractive deep green color that looks great in our bathroom - Breathable design helps prevent that damp towel feeling - Did not shrink as much as expected after machine washing and drying them - Works well for home, gym, or travel use - Good value for a two-pack of large, good-quality bath towels Cons: - The waffle texture can snag on sharp objects if you’re not careful Overall: These Jacquotha Waffle Bath Towels are functional, durable, easy to use, and offer good quality and value. They’re large, absorbent, and dry out much faster than traditional towels, which makes them great for everyday use; this is a great set of bath towels and definitely worth considering.
