Description

Jackson Ultima is a global manufacturer of figure skates, boots, and blades. Our expertise and passion for the sport is embodied in Jackson Ultima’s commitment to technology that enhances the performance of competitive skaters. We also offer a complete range of recreational figure and leisure skates to enhance the pleasure and enjoyment of all skaters. Jackson Skates are designed with specific Support Ratings to ensure the boot has the appropriate level of support for the skater's skill level and body characteristics. We then match the boot with the appropriate blade design. From Ultima Mark II to Mark IV on the Ascend Series, no other skate manufacturer comes close to our skate offering. Our Skates are the Perfect Match between comfort, support, & design in both the boot and blade. Each skate is designed with specific Support Ratings to ensure the boots have the appropriate level of support for the skater’s skill level and body characteristics. Here are a few tips to assist in selecting the correct size: • Take measurements in the socks that will be used while skating. • Stand on a sheet of paper. • Have someone else place a mark at your longest toe and at your heel. The pen should be straight up and down to determine the proper length. • Remove the foot and measure the distance between both marks in inches; repeat with your second foot. • Using the longer measurement of your two feet, select the most appropriate size. Do not select a size that is smaller than the length of your longest foot. Please Note: • Determining skate size by comparing to street shoe sizing is difficult as both are sized for different movements; skates are sized to glide with little foot movement while shoes are sized to allow for more flex when walking. • Skates generally have a snug fit to ensure the foot does not move; this type of fit may not suit everyone. Sizing is provided as a guideline only and should not replace proper fitting completed by an authorized Jackson Ultima Retailer.

  • Great skates!!
Size: 8 Women's
I just started learning beginner spins and jumps, and these are the perfect skates for that. They are SO comfortable (and cute) and fit true to size. Also provide great ankle stability. I do recommend getting them sharpened before taking them out on the ice.

  • Insane!
Size: Womens Size-9.5
As a beginner, the second I started using these skates instead of rentals, I got every move I was working on for 6 weeks. These were so sharp, they made me glide while I just stood on the ice. If you have wide feet, do your normal size but wear thin skate socks. They will hurt, but it’ll take time to break in. Use the size guide. Your arches will hurt if you have low arches, but that is typical for a skate. They come with laces which I did not know, and you can adjust the fit by making the laces looser or tigher in certain areas. ... show more

  • Great for beginners!
Size: 9 Women's
What is more important to a girl than her first kiss? Her first pair of ice skates! At least, that is the case for me. I was honestly nervous about getting ice skates, since I am still new to the sport and the previous ones I was using did not give me the support I needed. But this skates did the trick! The blades came mounted which I thought was not going to be the case and I am so grateful for. The material is sturdy and snug against my ankle and it offers great balance in my Salchows! Obviously, you need to get your blades sharpened and check how well the balance is. And for me it all went smoothly. Thankfully, the package came in perfect condition and although my country is suffering after chaos struck, everything came in perfectly even if a little later than expected but not by a big shot. If you want good quality, brand new ice skates for you or anyone you love and at a great price you are definitely in the right place! ... show more

  • Great skates overall
Size: 13 Misses
The product itself is great. The skates are beautiful, they fit true to size. However after unboxing there was already a scratch on the boot of the skate. Wasn’t anything major, I’d just have expected better with the price I paid.

  • Skate longevity
Size: 7.5 Women's
Skates are super comfortable and look great for a beginner/intermediate skater. We did end up getting a full shoe size smaller than her tennis shoes for a perfect fit. My daughter (13) had them a year with about 5 hours a week (260 hours year total) and one of the skates is coming apart on the boot/heel. The boot itself has still maintained its stiffness with no creases. This is the only sign of wear on them. She is meticulous in taking care of her stuff, especially high dollar items so she made sure to keep up on drying them after ice time, regular blade sharpening and lace replacement. For the amount of hours and jump intensity these skates have on them, they held up nicely and will still be used until they fully fall apart - she’s already decided to get Jackson Freestyle for replacement as she’s advanced quickly. ... show more

  • They are a good mid price point for someone who doesn't want to ...
Size: 3.5 Misses
My daughter is currently skating in these and loves them. They are a good mid price point for someone who doesn't want to spend a ton of money on skates but yet wants something a little more (but not a beginner skate). My daughter has been skating for 1.5yrs but is not yet doing freestyle. These were a good option for her at her skill level. The one thing is that I had to exchange the skates twice to get the right fit, once due to an error on my part assuming I knew her size, another time I just sized up and it still wasn't enough. You MUST measure the foot to get the right size based on what Jackson recommends. The sizing is different than shoe sizing and I think I had to size up 1.5x more than what I was expecting. This is what ultimately worked for me. Exchanges were not a problem. We've been happy with the skates and have been using them for 6 months now. ... show more

  • Getting back into skating as an adult, and these are working well...
Size: 8 Women's
I'm just getting back into skating after 20+ years. Still a beginner but was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and function of these skates. I skated as a teen in Riedells -- lovely skates but too narrow for my feet now. They've widened since having kids, and Jackson's padded boots (and going up a half size) were a much needed upgrade. Our local blade sharpener was out sick, so I didn't get them sharpened before the first lesson, but the blades were already sharp enough for beginner-level stuff on the ice. (I don't recommend anyone trying that, but kudos to Jackson for not leaving them as dull as rental skates.) My first lesson back was a lot of fun and I can't wait to keep going! ... show more
