These arrived with a label on them that clearly identified them as Ladies skates. We followed the online sizing guide and ended up ordering a size too small. Thanks to Amazon return policy, we just returned them and ordered a size bigger and life is good (shoe size = ladies 8.5 or 9, skate size that fit was a ladies 9. Note that I have a wide foot which made the ladies size 9 skate fit best.)

Softec skates are the best! The only brand I buy! Bought 1 pair for my 16 y/o daughter who wears size 11 and one for my 12 y/o son. Both fit perfectly and so comfortable! I have a pair I bought 5 years ago and I’m still using. Last forever and are very warm and comfortable! Which is what I look for in a skate!

I'm an adult beginner and I bought these for outdoor skating in Minnesota. They are very warm! I was out in (-2) degrees temp last night and I skated for over an hour. My feet and toes were toasty warm. I could've kept going but my legs were giving out. The sizing charts were confusing. I wear a size 6 shoe, ordered a size 6, and they fit perfectly. The stripes on the sides are very cool. They look white in photos but are more of a reflective silver. Be aware these are low profile which I knew when I ordered them. I've only used them twice and I haven't decided if I prefer low profile to the higher profile traditional figure skates. My main purpose was having a pair of solid outdoor skates for Minnesota freezing temps and these fit my criteria. I gave a 3 for softness because these are pretty stiff right out of the box which isn't a bad thing. You want some stiffness for support.

I 1st ordered a size 7 based off the sizing chart method provided, they were too small. Ended up ordering a size 8 which fit perfectly on my 8.5 foot. Sizing is an individual fit, I say try your size 1st and gauge from there whether you need to go up or down in size. They fit great! They just arrived so I haven't skated with them yet and I'm a novice so I don't whether to have them sharpened or not. I'm going to ask the seller. Once I skate on them I'll adjust my rating. Everything else - style, comfort, packaging & fit are 4 stars! Anyone with expertise feel free to view my photos and chime in on skate sharpening - necessary or no?

I haven't skated in over a decade and was nervous when buying skates. These Jackson Ultima were so comfy and warm on the ice. I never fell and had such ease gliding on the ice. I wear size 7 in boots and bought size 7 in skates. The fit was good. The thick fleece is so warm and comfy. There was enough toe room for me also. It also has great ankle support. The shoe strings are very long, so I had to tie those around my ankle a couple times. I also bought the Elite Hockey Pro-Skate guards and the A&R Sports BladeGards guard for these ice skates. Always bring a towel to dry your blades after skating. Now I just have to find a place to sharpen my blades after constant use. I would buy these skates again if I ever need to buy ice skates again.

Excellent skates. I bought this skates for my 2.5 years old grandson. He has never been on skates before and he is the youngest in his group. It took only two lessons and he is already walking on ice. Increadable. Very nice quality and very easy to put skates on. He loves this skates and loves skating. Would recommend for everybody as a starters.

These skates are very comfortable, mine fit true to size. I am a casual skater on a lake, so I appreciate the warmth these skates provide. I would recommend these skates if you're in the market for a recreational skate.
