I would much rather see skaters show up for class in these new Jackson Artiste Lites than Jackson Excell, Soft Skates or Classics, or the myriad of other recreational skates sold on Amazon or your local sporting goods store. The Jackson Artiste Lite has a much better Mark IV blade than the Jackson Mystique, which I used to recommend but now comes with the Mark II blade which will hold your skater back from learning cross overs, 3-turns and edges. That said, due to the lower support level, I would really only suggest these Artiste Lites for beginner skaters up to size 1 or 2. Older kids, Teens or Adults should go for the regular Artiste or Riedell Topaz or Crystal. ... show more
