  • YUMMY so delicious
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I just love tonic, and this JACK RUDY Classic Tonic Syrup is crisp and refreshing. There is no bitter after taste like some other brands. I only drink tonic by itself, I do not use it as a mixer. So, I can say without a doubt that Jack Rudy Classic is fantastic. We have a sodastream and just add syrup to taste. I drink tonic nightly, so I definitely have strong opinions on what makes a good tonic syrup. At 16 oz. this is a nice size syrup bottle for the price. That being said, it is on the pricier side of tonic syrups, so I do not use it daily. In the future I will order the double pack to save a little bit of money. The directions are easy to follow and can be adjusted to personal taste. On the nights I am feeling like a treat, I use this Jack Rudy Classic. It is not my daily drink as I would go through it too quickly. It is nice knowing that a special treat is there for the drinking whenever I need it. This would make a great gift for anyone that has a bar set up at home. If they like a gin and tonic this would make them very happy. ... show more

  • For the Best Gin and Tonic
Size: 16 Fluid Ounces (Pack of 2)
This stuff with good quality tonic water makes the best Gin and tonic ever. Just add a teaspoon or two each drink.

  • Expensive syrup, but has an interesting, complex taste, quite good
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Jack Rudy's Cocktail Tonic syrup is pricey, but I like it. I bought it because although I am fine with ingesting sucrose, I generally prefer not to ingest high-fructose corn syrup. (Just my preference.) But what I found is that this syrup makes a much nicer cocktail than even a good brand of tonic water; it's much more complex and interesting. Sometimes, when I don't want an actual cocktail, I'll use this to make a "mocktail," with club soda and a squeeze of lime juice. It's that tasty. Note - it is very sweet. ... show more

  • Tasty, and a bit expensive.
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Delicious and flavorful tonic; I love the taste! However, it is on the pricier side, and you need to use quite a bit to achieve the desired flavor.

  • A Tasty Way To Get 38 G&Ts From A Bottle Of Jack Rudy's Tonic Syrup
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
It’s not easy finding the perfect ingredients for the ideal (to me) Gin & Tonic. Too bitter, too sweet or the gin’s botanicals don’t blend well with everything else. Don’t you hate those reviews that say something like “This is a pretty decent syrup but there are better ones out there” and then don’t tell you what those better ones are? It makes me wish I could reach through the computer screen and shove a Cheeto up their nose. Q Drinks make both a very good Club Soda and Tonic Water. The cans are 12 oz and make two drinks. 6 oz of Club Soda, ¾ oz Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. Small Batch Tonic Syrup and 1 ¼ oz Broker’s Gin. To my taste that is G&T perfection. But there’s another way you can go, a way to reduce the admittedly high cost of the syrup. After all, you only get 22 drinks out of 17 oz bottle. I like the bitter taste of the quinine in Fever Tree Tonic Water but it’s too sweet for me. Q Drinks Tonic Water is much less sweet but doesn’t have enough of the pleasant bitterness of Fever Tree. Of course Q Drinks does have some quinine so why not add some more? Ta Daaa! An excellent G&T can be made using 6 oz Q Drinks Tonic Water, 2 teaspoons Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. Small Batch Tonic Syrup and 1 ¼ oz Broker’s Gin. The 2 teaspoons of syrup add just the right amount of kick to the Tonic water. And as a bonus you now get 51 G&Ts from that 17 oz bottle of syrup. Give it a try if you’re so inclined and feel free to play around with the proportions or the brand of Gin, no Cheetos will be inserted in your nose. I promise. Update: I bought a 25 ml graduated cylinder because measuring spoons weren't accurate enough for me. My perfect G & T is now made using 13 ml of the Rudy's syrup. I just made one using 13.5 ml of Rudy's Tonic and that's just a bit too much for our tastes. 13 ml = 2.6 teaspoons = .44 fluid ounces, so I now will be getting 38 G & Ts from a 17 oz bottle of Rudy's Tonic. I've changed the amount of drinks made per bottle in the title of my review to reflect my change. ... show more

  • Not that impressed by 'value' or by taste
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
My wife loves her Vodka Tonics and I enjoy my Gin and Tonics. Decided to try this stuff. Mixed up a batch based on their instructions and did a taste test against two tonics - Fever Tree Premium Indian (hers) and Canada Dry (mine). The Jack's stuff - you can hardly taste the quinine. Mixed it at .75 oz to 5 oz of soda as suggested. It's smooth. But neither of us thought it was good. Plus with 22 possible 'mixes' - at their recommendation - that will give you 126 ounces of mixed tonic water (22*5-Soda and 16oz Jacks) - and if you buy 110 oz of, say, Canada Dry Soda Water (not the expensive stuff) - your per oz run about 21 cents an ounce. If you just buy the fever tree it's just about the same price. If you buy Canada Dry or Schwepps tonic water - you are talking about 4 cents an ounce. I find that Canada Dry along with some fresh squeezed lime is just fine, and my gins (Beefeaters, Hayman's Old Tom, Hendricks, Bombay (the regular stuff), Aviation, and Tanqueray London Dry) taste just fine. I did discover that mixing the Jacks at .75oz of jacks and 3oz of soda gave it the taste I was looking for, but this would almost double the cost to about 35 cents an ounce. Plus it still didn't have the quinine taste I like. ... show more

  • Great tonic concentrate
Size: 16 Fluid Ounces (Pack of 2)
Best tonic concentrate syrup I’ve had to date. Wish it had actual quinine in the recipe, but it makes a great gin and tonic regardless.
