I have used this bag for 2 long overseas trips and very satisfied with my choice. I was able to pack a lot of stuff in it such as a compact umbrella, a water bottle, a small book, a pair of spare socks and underwear, a power bank (smartphone battery), a pair of spare eyeglasses, my passport, a small notepad, and tons of little items. It's very critical to me that a travel bag must have enough space for my items as well all the zippers must function smoothly and would not fail. This bag didn't disappoint me. Furthermore, it was able to stand a few short rains and has had not emitted any smell so far. Besides, the leather and design look very decent and not cheap (of course it's made of real leather). I highly recommend it. I also have a "shining" black leather and in fact will buy a third one for backup.

I have used messenger bags for years. This one is easy to organize, made to be durable with excellent zippers, and looks like a million bucks. After I have brutalized this one, I know I'll buy another. Bought this one on prime day, so the price is right. A handsome, functional messenger bag

I ordered a brown Jack&Chris shoulder bag, and junked out my old canvas bag. I use the bag for work; which means I use it five times a week. The bag has all the features I want in a "work" bag: (a) large enough to carry full-sized (11'x8.5") documents; (b) strongly stitched supple, durable leather with metal zips and fabric lining guaranteed to last a life-time (no plastic anywhere!); (c) two large compartments and four smaller pockets. I keep my personal ID in one small pocket where I know it is always safe, a packet of face masks in another (with Covid-19, I want to be sure I always have a fresh supply of face masks just in case the one I am using accidentally falls off), my calligraphy fountain pens, stamp pad and compact Sony RX100vii camera in a third small pocket, and allergy tablets and tylenol in a fourth small pocket. Calligraphy is my hobby and I never leave home without my pens; and I am constantly being asked for tylenol from people with splitting headaches. AS MY HEADLINE STATES, THE ONLY BAG FOR WORK OR PLAY: I am ordering a second bag, a black one this time, for PLAY, i.e., for daily use other than for WORK. Would that Jack&Chris made bags in other colors: tan, orange, dark green, deep blue, buttercup yellow; I'd get all of them. I'll then be able to match my bags with my belts and shoes. From this, you will see that I am very fashion-conscious, which is why I noticed and like(d) the matching 1" strip of leather strongly stitched along the entire length of the durable 1.5" canvas strap, unlike other similar leather bags which only come with canvas straps. Overall, I give this bag a very commendable grade of 95 %. If the leather strip is made the same width as the canvas support (1.5"), I will raise the grade to a full 100%. I just received this a few days ago, and my initial impressions are very favorable. As far as looks go, I've gotten several unsolicited compliments. I think it looks masculine without being in-your-face about it. It seems to be very well made--good leather, high quality stitching, etc. It's not real big, so don't expect to use it for a weekend getaway, but it holds my journal, stationery, and a moderately-thick book, plus pens, markers, my smart phone charger and other small odds and ends comfortably in well-place and nicely-sized pockets. I'm sure it will accommodate Kindles, tablet computers and the like quite well, but be aware that it has no padding except for the thick leather. The strap is a little narrower than I would like, but I guess it is well-proportioned for the bag, and that's a matter of taste--has nothing to do with quality. As far as the color rubbing off on clothing issue goes, the manufacturer does acknowledge the issue and recommends wiping it down with a soft cloth periodically for the first few days. I have had no issue with color rubbing off on my clothes. Overall, a high-quality item, at least initially. If I'm still impressed after a year, I'll come back and give it that fifth star.

First things first. The measurements of the bag in BLACK are 10’’ H, 9’’ W, 5” D. This bag DEFINITELY CANNOT accommodate an iPad Pro 11. The bag is not tall enough. Perhaps an iPad 10.2 will fit. For my needs, this is, however, the perfect bag. From front to rear in the metal tabbed zipped pouches 1-5 I carry with ease the following. Pouch 1 Wallet. Pouch 2 iPhone 14 Pro Max. Pouch 3 Eyeglasses etc. Pouch 4 Glock 43X. Pouch 5. Cold Steel 4 Max Scout. It’s the perfect size for a Manly Man Purse. It appears to be made of real leather. I wish the zippers were more robust. I’d certainly pay more for the exact bag configuration slightly larger, maybe 11x10x6 with beefed up external zippers. Keep up the GREAT work Jack and Chris. I now own 4 of your products. THANK YOU!
