Do not hesitate to get this mirror! We got the 55x36 size for a shared bathroom, and could not be more pleased. The RGB colors are a novelty, but hey, the kids love it. The price cannot be beat. When we remodeled our main bath 5 years ago we looked into getting lighted mirrors, which were about $1800 at the time. Our mirror has the controls in the center, which I like. We had an electrician hard wire a plug behind the mirror so we can just plug it in, and added an off/on switch to the wall so the power (and the three lighted control buttons - white for on, blue for off) can be turned completely off. The mirror seems to lack a memory function so that when you turn it completely off at the wall switch and then back on, it will default to the defog, front light, and back light settings with all of them being on. I think the front light output is pretty substantial (at the whitest light setting), but if that is the only light in your bathroom you may need to add additional lighting since it is all forward-facing and not overhead. I like the fact that the back lights are soft enough to be used as a nightlight. Controls are easy to use. Cannot speak to the defog feature since we haven't used it yet, but it appears from the back of the mirror that only the very center of the mirror is heated (and thus defogged). Like some others said, the shipping packaging is pretty minimal, and the first mirror we ordered was damaged and returned without our ever laying eyes on it, and the second mirror was delivered by a very gentle UPS guy. The refund on the first mirror was prompt. Be sure to plug it in before you mount it, since it weighs about 50 pounds. The French cleat hangers it came with seems to be doing their job, but we had to swap out the flimsy anchors for some heavier-duty toggle bolts. All in all, a great fun feature that really brightens up a bathroom! We looked at unlit mirrors of a similar size that ran about $650 installed, so if you don't mind running a new plug behind or using an existing plug, this mirror will be cost effective. Overall, I like the product. I purchased the 48” x 32” model. Mirror only does minor distortions comparable to other mirrors this size. The only thing I would change is to be able to set the power up state. It does power up with the same light color settings that it powers down in, but it always turns on the defogger and both front and rear lights are on. ... show more

The lighting and defrost are both great and the mirror was easy to hang. My only complaint is that if you aren't able to hardwire or plug it in behind the mirror there is no channel to slide the cable through to get to a plug beside the mirror. It still looks alright with the very slight tilt that introduces but it does bug me still because I know it's not hanging flat. ... show more

Great product just happened to decide to update my washroom while on vacation. This product is a great addition. This is my first tile tiling wall so excuse the mess and the fact that I haven’t added the grout in yet. Had to show the progress tho with the mirror addition.

Assuming you have a plug located behind where the mirror will be, the installation was very simple. Secure two brackets to the wall, plug the mirror in, and hang the mirror from the brackets. Personally, I never use the drywall anchors provided by various companies as I prefer to use stronger anchors that I purchase separately (better to be safe than sorry and I prefer to build a little extra "cushion" into my installations). My outlets behind the mirrors go to a switch, so everything is pretty simple. The anti-fog works well too, but be sure to turn it on before jumping in the shower because, once the mirror is fogged up, it takes a bit of time for the defogger to work if you turn it on later. One minor issue that knocked it down a star for me is that the mirror "remembers" previous settings, or at least it is supposed to. When my wife turns off the backlight and then turns everything off using the wall switch, when she turns the mirror back on later, the backlight comes back on and typically has the RGB colors circulating, which she does not like. If she keeps the backlight at a steady white color, then the mirror turns back on with that same white backlight, but if she has it off when she turns off the wall switch, the RBG backlight comes back on. This is a little weird as we purchased two of these mirrors at the same time and the other mirror does not behave this way (it seems to stay on the last setting, regardless of what it is). ... show more

Just installed this and I still need to remove the film and touch up some paint, but the new mirror already looks like a million bucks in our new bathroom. The boss is pleased! Great features. Easy install. Just be super careful it doesn’t drop to the counter on the final hanging step. It comes with a white glove - I know not why but…OK. Probably cleaning.
