The Ironck Island has 4 sides of storage and a 110v power outlet with 2 usb ports. The arrival of this was a beast at a bulky 122lbs. Get someone to help you bring it in the house. The island took about 4 casual hours to put together. The directions are pretty clear to follow although I was missing 12 screws at the very end of assembly, so I had to improvise a bit. The island is solid and looks great!. It's about 1-1/2 inches taller than conventional counter tops, so take that in consideration before purchasing.     • Lots of assembly but worth the price
Putting together this product took over 4 hours, but the final product was definitely worth it, as it is very sturdy and large enough that we have room to work but small enough that it doesn't take up our whole kitchen, and it gives us plenty of storage space. This product did however arrive broken the first time, but we contacted the company's customer service and they were quick to fix the issue and offer a replacement or a refund.     • Love the storage
I love how much storage this provides in my kitchen. The two sides with rails are filled with oils and cooking wines ect. The other 2 sides hold most of my baking supplies. I don't know if it is sturdy enough to put my kitchen aid on but we did not run power to the stand so I am not using that feature anyway. It is a little taller than I expected. I admit I didn't look as close at the detentions because I figured it would be counter height. I am 5'5, and it is just slightly too high but still completely usable. I do all my food prep on it. I had an issue with one of the drawers not being cut straight. The manufacturer sent a replacement piece and I was able to finish the assembly without having to ship anything back. I appreciated that because Amazon wanted the entire thing returned or they were going to ship a new one and I would have to take the part out and ship that one back. I did not want that hassle. It is pretty heavy and that would be a pain. Just to bring it in the house my BF opened the box outside and brought pieces in that way. The time it took to get answers from the manufacturer was a bit frustrating. I was on a time limit for the deadline of the Amazon return and they took a long time to answer any emails. They asked for me to be patient and I never got an email that said it had shipped or a tracking number or anything. One day the part was in the mail box. As far as assembly, it wasn't too hard for my BF to put together. It took him a few hours. The down side is that the hardware was not adequate and so he used his own. The 1st shipment had some broken parts, I set photos to the supplier and they sent a 2nd unit at no cost to me. I helped my son-in-law as he assembled the island. He did 90% of the work, total time was about 3 hours. No big issues with the assembly. I think the island looks great. I plan to paint the top with a product called Beyond Paint, I’ll send before and after photos after it’s painted. ... show more

It’s nice and sturdy but it’s not well built when you think about it. It has those spin on screws if you wood glue it when you put it together tho it’s not bad. Also buying a butcher block countertop and drilling it onto this one is a much better counter

Pros: It's cheap (relatively). It's huge. It's pretty sturdy once together. No damage in shipping. Cons: The instructions suck. It weighs as much as a small elephant. Holes on both sides for the top decorative wood bars are drilled in the entirely wrong places. Not a little, like 5 inches off from each other. The pros outweigh the cons for the price. If you need counter space and/or storage for a decent price, this is your island. ... show more

When the box arrived from Amazon, I did not expect it to be so large and heavy. If you have another family member or friend to help you get it inside the house then do it. Don't be like me and drag it in like a corpse in the middle of the night. The island is definitely well packaged and none of the parts were damaged during shipment. I knew in advance thanks to other reviews that this was going to be a lot of pieces to put together. So I decided to time myself as I built it. Took about 2.5 hours from start to finish. Instructions are minimalist in nature. Mostly pictures. Tons of screws, I would recommend using a ratchet screwdriver instead of the tiny tool they supply, your hand will thank you for it and it will shave time off the build. Overall, it's a solid kitchen island. The only thing I can say as a negative is the drawers. They're not long enough to use as a utensil organizer. Instead we use them for our heavier dishes. During assembly this product will crumble to pieces as shown. I wouldn’t recommend this product as I don’t see it lasting long.
