Needed shelving for my fused glass hobby that my wife would consider nice looking since I work in our finished basement. Fusing glass is surprising very heavy and I liked that there are no long unsupported spans and all the weight is eventually transferred to the metal columns. The biggest down-side is the lack of sides so need to use book-ends or such. I liked the quality of the materials and had no scratches or dents even though the heavy shipping box had some FedEx damage (a crumpled end shows it was dropped!). But the contents was well-packed and no internal damage. I do wish they used something recyclable rather than all the plastic film and styrofoam; but at least no packing peanuts! Assembly was straight-forward; just look closely at the illustrations. It took me a few hours to assemble and I learned the hard way to not tighten any screws until completely assembled. It would be helpful if an added final step included hints on the order to tighten screws. I used a battery-powered screw-driver with a 5/32" (or 4mm) Allen wrench driver to made assembly much easier, though an Allen wrench is included for the tool deprived. UPDATE: I bought https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7MH2XC9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details black ABS pre-cut plastic panels and hot-glued them to the frame to make ends for the shelves. UPDATE: The included wall anchors are very cheap so get a different drywall anchor. Remember to anchor to the wall if you have small kids or live in earthquake country. ... show more

    • Faulty Product and Unclear Assembly (Updated)

Update, previously rated 1 star due to the issue below. I bumped this up to 3 stars as after this review the company reached out and actually sent me a replacement shelf free if charge. They did not make me return the old one due to the size of box required and associated costs and did request pictures to forward to their product team to better improve their project. While the shelf itself is a good quality I cannot rate any higher than 1 star due the horror story I have with this thing cannot offset the product. 1) The product I got did not have all the holes pre-threaded resulting in my inability to fully assemble as without threaded holes (which serve as built in nuts) I could not screw in the bolts. 2) The box looks like it fell off the truck and the wire grating on the top back was bent. 3) The directions are very unclear, you kind of have to go off pictures but without any relation to what is back/front it is very easy to switch parts so that the inset holes are not under the wooden shelving. Me and my fiancé spent more time on this then an IKEAQ wardrobe with x3 the amount of steps. 4) When unscrewing some of bolts that I somehow got in even without threaded holes some of the inset nuts into the wood panels unscrewed out. Because there was no thread the thing basically screwed in enough to be so tight that taking it apart would rip the wood panels to a point where they were unusable. Between the destroyed box, faulty product, and inability to take apart without absolutely destroying I will not be buying form this company again or anything else in their product line. ... show more
