The embedded female nuts are M6-1.0 screw type... in case anyone is interested: had to figure it out by trial and error... using it for a shed and did not want kids hands going in with curiosity and encounter a metal fan blade... would be nice to have an option of a shield to crew on since a adapted a fan and not used one that directly attached to it ... show more

I replaced plastic vent louvers which did not last at all. I suppose that between wear and heat (we live in central Florida), that the plastic just gave out and flaps just began falling out! This works fine. My only complaint is it doesn't seal very well. I am using it in my wood shop to exhaust lacquer fumes and sawdust and the small gaps around the sides will allow bugs to enter. I probably need a much bigger opening that I could add a screen to but that is not an option in a rented shop and a screen in my small opening blocks too much air flow.
