  • Great gift choice!
Bought as a birthday present for my grandson who turned 5. He loves toy cars and also transformers. Its magnet so easy to separate and build together, he loves playing with them hours without getting bored. They are good quality and just right for his age.

  • Fun toy for toddlers that doubles as a kind of puzzle
It’s just confusing enough to assemble that they include a short manual (much appreciated) but once you get it that first time, it’s pretty easy to remember how the cars assemble together to build the robot. My daughter loves getting cars as gifts, so I presented her the pile of cars first, and she seemed happy, until I explained to her and showed her that I can assemble the cars into one big robot, and then she was really excited. The quality and durability seems great. You don’t have to put a whole lot of stress on any of the parts to where I’m worried it will break during assembly or disassembly. The robot is a decent, medium size. The pullback function is retained even once the robot is built, so provided it is balanced on a flat surface, you can pull the robot back to send it forward. I do think it will be some time before my daughter can assemble this herself when she takes it apart, but she’s smart, and I’ve no doubt she’ll get there. Honestly, I think this is a neat feature, to keep it interesting for her. ... show more

  • Built Like a Movie Stunt Robot
Our 8-year-old is absolutely OBSESSED with this thing. It has spent days alternating between defeating every other robot in the house...and being dramatically launched across the room because, according to him, it "exploded." Here's the impressive part: it actually survives. It's surprisingly well made. When it gets hurled into its latest action scene, a few pieces might pop off, but they snap right back on instead of scattering into 47 tiny bits that you'll still be finding under the couch at Christmas. It has held up far better than I expected. Assembly was pretty straightforward, although I was definitely glad the instructions were included. They're useful, especially when you're trying to remember which construction vehicle becomes which body part of the robot. The finished robot is big, sturdy, and just plain cool. Between the transforming vehicles, magnetic connections, and the fact that it can apparently survive Hollywood-level stunt work from an enthusiastic 8-year-old, this has easily become one of his favorite toys. It gets played with constantly, which is about the highest compliment a kid can give. ... show more

  • Fun toy
iPlay, iLearn Kids Magnetic Transform Robot Toy, Toddler Construction Truck 5-in-1 Transforming Robot Car Toy, STEM Learning Assemble Building Playset, Cool Birthday Gifts 3 4 5 6 7 8 Year Old Boy Girl I got this robot car to have on hand for when my grandkids come over, and I’m very glad I did! This past weekend I had 3 of my 7 grandkids at my house, so I pulled out this new toy. The boys had a blast with it, ages 2 and 9. My granddaughter, age 12, was not so interested but did help with putting it together. The 2 year old had more fun with the individual cars, whereas the older one enjoyed the robot aspect of it. They enjoyed it more after realizing that they race forward when pulled back. At first, we had a hard time getting him to stand, but then realized that we were not locking the feet in place properly. Once we corrected that, he worked great. Very happy with this toy and think it is well worth the $24. ... show more

  • Good quality transformer toy
This transformer robot toy is great for kids of many ages! My almost 2 year old loves it and is learning a lot by watching her dad build the transformer. While she can’t fully assemble it by herself yet, it is still a great toy for her to stay engaged and learn. She loves the separate cars that zoom without batteries. She could play with the cars going across our dining room floor for hours. For the cost of the toy it seems fairly sturdy and durable. I think the price point is great for a toy like this! It’s a wonderful, gender neutral option. We are pleasantly surprised with how much use we and my toddler get out of this robot toy. 5 stars! ... show more

  • Not as epic as we were hoping but still fun
I find this to be one of those situations where, in trying to do too much, it ends up not doing any one thing particularly well. It might also just be that my own excitement for this toy set my expectations too high -a rolling robot made from construction vehicles sounds epic! The individual pull-back vehicles work well on their own, but once assembled into the robot, the added weight of the robot body seems to create too much friction for them to work as well. Most of the time we couldn't get the robot to roll very far, and other times it would tip over. With careful balancing and the right conditions, we could occasionally get it to roll successfully, and when it worked it was very fun and exciting, but it also highlighted how much potential this toy has if that feature worked better. I also found assembly a little more difficult than I expected. Even as an adult, I had trouble moving some of the parts into position, which could be frustrating for younger children. Fortunately, I was able to use the robot's scoop hands to help pull out the magnetic attachment levers to the shoulders because two of the vehicles were so difficult to release that I couldn't do it by hand and would've needed a tool otherwise. The scoops seem okay as robot hands, but my grandkids were disappointed that they don't function as well for the construction vehicle buckets. Since they don't fold down far enough to really scoop along the ground, they don't feel quite as realistic during construction play. One of my grandsons was also disappointed that the robot's eyes don't light up. I hadn't noticed this myself so was surprised by this expectation but he had picked up on this from images on the box and was excited about the possibility. With all of that said, I don't think this is a bad toy. Quite the opposite - I still think the concept is fun, the toy feels durable and safe, and my grandsons have enjoyed playing with it. I just think for us the execution falls short of what could have been an amazing toy. ... show more

  • This will keep them busy for hours
This toy has many uses, and my grandson, who is almost 8, was able to figure out how the robot went together, but it took awhile for him to figure it out. I waited to do this review because I could not figure out the robot (too old I guess) and I wanted to make sure a kid could do it. PROS: --Everything seems well made with no loose parts. --Design seems well thought out --While I doubt a 3-5 year old could figure out the robot part, the crane, and 4 cars are fun for the younger kids to play with. --Cars zoom around with no batteries and are sturdy enough for the kids to play demolition derby with them (demolition derby is always a hit in our house for some reason) --Robot assembly is available to the older kids in the age range, making sure they can use this toy over a few years, rather than the typical short-term use toys they quickly age out of. --Price very reasonably for the quality of the toy. --Comes with instructions, detailed pictures, which my grandson was able to use to build the robot. CONS: --Younger children will need to be taught to build the robot by someone smarter than me. This is a multi use toy that will cover several years of play. At under $30 at the time of this review, is a very appealing purchase, and I recommend the toy. ... show more

  • iPlay, iLearn Magnetic Transform Robot Toy
This 5‑in‑1 magnetic robot set gives kids a fun way to build and transform construction trucks into a larger robot, making it a great option for imaginative play. Each vehicle connects easily with magnets, allowing toddlers and young kids to assemble and take apart the pieces without frustration. The bright colors and chunky shapes make it appealing for ages 3–8 and encourage hands‑on exploration. The pieces feel sturdy and well‑made, with magnets strong enough to hold the robot together during play while still being easy for kids to separate. The construction‑truck theme adds extra excitement, and the transforming feature helps introduce basic STEM concepts like building, combining parts, and understanding how shapes fit together. The set works well for both solo play and shared playtime with siblings or friends. Overall, this magnetic robot toy is a cool birthday gift for young builders who enjoy vehicles and action toys. Its mix of construction trucks, easy magnetic assembly, and a satisfying robot transformation makes it engaging, durable, and fun for a wide range of ages. ... show more
