  • Great Little Book to Advance My Artistic Practice
This is a clearly written photography guide and I love that it gets a little deep too with the iPhone 12 Pro Max specifically. I appreciate the author's candid exploration, comparison, and leanings toward the one phone and new camera features. I will be using it to boost my photography game in general and learn new artistic expression and photographic confidence in the woods and in nature. This book is fun and the Tips are helpful! As a long-time iPhone user of multiple generations and amateur photographer, I think this camera book is intuitive and so is our chosen technology! I can advance just one more step on my path. Way to knock both out of the park! Or into the park... ... show more

  • Next Time Pictures in Color Please!
Mr. Black has written an outstanding book on the ProMax . I would only suggest the following: 1. Next time separate books for beginners and advanced with more detail for the advanced version. 2. Publish photos in color. After seeing them that way a reader will learn a lot more. Anyone with an iPhone 12 ProMax who does photography at any level will benefit from this book. ... show more

  • Outstanding Photo Guide for IPhone 12 Pro Max!
Five Stars to Vincent Black for his wonderful and very instructive Photo Guide to the IPhone 12 Pro Max. In clear succinct language, he offers many techniques that both a beginner and an advanced photographer can apply immediately by handling their own iphone going through informative chapters on lenses, shooting, using the video and everything else one should know. He offers many tips, provides good summaries as reviews and includes instructive photos to clarify techniques. • Horrible writing and absolutely no editing
When I purchase a reference-type book I expect a certain amount of publishing professionalism. This book was written by an okay photographer with absolutely no clue about how to write a simple sentence, let alone a meaningful passage. Grammar, spelling, punctuation? Please! Don't get me started. If you're going to go through the hassle of putting a book together, why not take it a few steps further to the finish line? Have you heard of proof readers, editors, the ten-year-old next door? You should be ashamed to charge money for this publication. Please get some help! ... show more

  • Helpful
As a new iPhone 12 Max Pro owner I found this book to be a valuable guide to getting more from the camera. Learning about f stop control and the benefits of portrait mode were just 2 of many great tips.

  • Marginally helpful
Do you know your way around an earlier model of iPhone? Avoid this book and go online to get better resources. This one is already out of date because Apple has added features to the phone recently. Just got your first iPhone? You can try this book out, but online resources are still better. Do not give this book to someone that is learning English. The writing is horrible. ... show more

  • Good for Beginners
I was able to learn how some of the iPhone 12 Pro Max features work, and for that I gave it 4 stars. However, advanced photographers will find that much of the book is entirely too basic and far below their needs.
