They are cleanly cut and formed steel construction that fit our Recaro, Sparco, and NRG seats during test fitting. They are taller than most of the standard side brackets which is what we were looking for for our BMW E36 that these were going into. We used a custom planted floor bracket that these mounted to which resulted in a slightly lower than OE seating position with healthy lean (exactly what we were after). We drilled an extra hole per side to mount the lower harness eyelets. There is no flex and we are confident they would easily hold up in any impact scenario. Used these to retrofit 2012 Subaru STI seats into my 04 Subaru Baja Turbo. These with some modifications to the OEM seats worked perfectly as they weren't intended for this type of seat, can't wait to finish the install when my bracket comes in for the floor of the car
