I use this to mix Tamiya and Vallejo hobby paints. Works amazing. Includes 7 or 8mm ball bearings that you can put in the paint. However, it does a great job without the ball bearings. Buy 2.     • Died after 2 years of use, worked well durring that period.
Worked fantastically for 2 years until it died today. i opened it up and one of the wires carrying power to the motor broke. they used very thin gauge wires and the motion of the device broke it free. it's an easy fix if you know how to solder. i don't have any soldering equipment so i'm buying a replacement. it was $60 when i got it but for the current $40 price i'd say it's worth the money. ... show more

I bought this to mix my Citadel paint pots, and it works VERY well. It comes with a bonus dropper bottle and a bunch of mixing balls that could be very helpful for reactivating old paints, and the mixer has the power to do that. Even my worst separated paints got a COMPLETE mix with less than 30 seconds on this mixer. Highly recommend this for miniature painters looking for a great, low cost vortex mixer ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is pretty awesome. I think I like this even more than I like my magnetic stirrer. I use stirrers for the DIY perfumes I make for myself, and this is perfect for the small bottles of ingredients. I had to be patient because, at first, I thought the stirring action wasn't going to happen. I just have to give it a few seconds, especially with some of the thicker liquids. I advise a little patience. Also, I do have some liquids that I need to warm slightly before they will begin mixing. For some bottles, because of the shape or size, I had trouble keeping the stirrer going. I'm glad that I saw a tip from another reviewer. I used some hot glue to make a little mold. I can fit the mold into the space on the stirrer and then set my bottle on top. I am forever thankful for that useful idea! What I really like about this is that it's easier to see the results as I'm mixing the bottle contents. I still love the magnetic stirrer for large batches, but this one is just the perfect tool for smaller bottles. I could see how this would be useful for a lot of things—nail polish, meds, lotions and other cosmetic blends, oils, etc. This came packaged really well, and I actually store it in the same box. It doesn't take up a lot of room, and I was able to use it right out of the box. The cord is of good length. Also, this is not loud enough to be disturbing. I use it very late in the evening without worrying that I will annoy my apartment neighbors. ... show more

The item was covered in grime and stains when I opened the box, which is already gross. Not only that, but it didn’t even work. I plugged it into the map, pressed down on it, and got nothing. I checked another plug, I checked to make sure there was no on/off switch I needed to turn it on, but nope! Just broken. I was clearly sent a broken/used/“refurbished” item, and obviously I will be getting a refund. Completely unacceptable. ... show more

I bought this for mixing my model paints (mostly for miniatures). It does an excellent job, though I do also recommend putting an agitator in the bottles - I use stainless steel ball bearing, but almost anything that won't corrode will do. I've been using the mixer for a few months now and haven't had any failures. ... show more

I've been using this to mix model paints for a couple weeks now and so far so good. It does struggle with some very thick paints from Turbo Dork, but has worked great for Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter, and System 3 inks. I've also been using it to further mix vape juice because I add my own nicotine to 0mg liquid. As a few other reviews have pointed out, there's kind of a sweet spot for mixing. It basically boils down to not pressing too firmly into the center until the motor is fully spun up. We'll see how long it lasts, but so far very happy with the purchase. ... show more
